Here is my Piett:

About the same. Paint is better on Piett as is the body. But everything else is exactly the same.

I really like him. The PRO body is taller than PROs we have seen in the past. The joints are nice and tight The hands come off easier than other figs but aren't loose.

I wish the boots were nicer. They seem a bit large for Piett's stature. The tailoring is very nice once you futz around a bit (out of the box it looks a bit lumpy and uneven).

Like I said before, the face sculpt is would have been a dead on likeness but Andy sculpted him to be a bit too gaunt of face. Its really too skinny for Piett. He seemed to have more of an oval shape to his face and cheeks and forehead but this sculpt seems to be a diamond.

The cloth hat isn't quite as nicely cut as Prajji's and it harder to make look nice, but its not impossible. The pen thingees go in a lot easier than in Prajji's (it was really hard to find the pockets in Prajji's uniform).

I would say for the new price point he is about right.

I thought the hat was a little worse too, just wanted to confirm. It's gonna take some water treatment and some pulling and stretching to get it to where it needs to be.

Maybe this Pro is taller because of the boots rather than the shoe pegs we're used to?

Does Piett actually have feet? I haven't stripped him yet.

I didn't find the boots to be too big so much as too soft and shiny making them seem very toyish unlike SS's usual excellent footwear.

That's good to hear, the first footed Pro figure I believe, I'm guessing Toht and Belloq and all the Joe's so far have been pegs like Indy?

I beg to differ.
Comparing the hard material they used before and the sculpting of their black tall boots to DML's WWII German tall boots, I can say with utter confidence that I think Sideshow's boots were utter ^^^^e.
The material was way too hard, making it difficult to pose the figures well, and the hard material didn't even warrant any extra detail, as they were pretty bland in that department. And the sculpting still leaves a lot to be desired as they are way to wide on top.

I much prefer the softer material they use now, and if they could only tweak the sculpt a bit they'd be much much better.

Oh, I didn't mean soft as in feel, I meant soft as in the detail of the lines and creases in the boot. Piett's seem less detailed to me than usual.

Then again, I might replace them with a set of boots from Newline anyway. For Tarkin definitely.

I think a boot replacement is definitely in order. It would help his over all look. If anyone finds any links to boots that would work post them here please. :)
