I would guess the Queen is in the works, but if you think about it, I've noticed on the Alien Warrior that on some of the midsection joints, some poses buckle under the weight of the head and everything, and if they were to apply the same technique to the Queen, there would probably be a fair ammount of R&D to figure out how best to get the rubber quality of the warriors while also delivering similar articulation levels because her head will deffinately make a figure top heavy.

That was the problem on the McFarlane Queen. I never could get her to stand upright, the weight of the head made her top-heavy.

They could also build the upper body from thinner/lighter materials, maybe even make the head hollow, and then make a thick, heavy lower body. A base would be good to have with the Queen, but a nice battling the power loader display could use the power loader as support for the queen. I don't know how they might pull it off, but it would be cool if the Queen's inner jaw lunged out quickly and snapped back into the mouth in a striking at Ripley manner as it did in the films, even the warriors did it to a degree, but there was an initial, and probably by intent from Ridley, reveal and exposure of the inner jaw that made you go ok what's going on, but before your mind could say on it shot out and stabbed people's heads, but the Queen was all attack, no need for surprises.

with all this talk about the Queen... do we even know that Hot Toys is making one, or is based on speculation and us wanting it so bad?!?

I went for the more "nervous" Hudson look, obviously.
Is there any other Hudson look? :D

So far HT has stated that it's not scheduled at the moment. Doesn't mean it's not in R&D, but a lot of us were wondering if the announcement would come hot on the heels of the Power-Loader announcement...Stay tuned though, I wouldn't be surprised if it shows up at NEXT year's Toy Fair...:chew

I'm so glad I got mine for $89 in late '05! :D
As stupid as this may sound, I had no interest in the HT stuff at that time.

I have learned the error of my ways. :D

I also just scored a Vasquez from:

I think the queen (if HT does one) will have a supporting rod, much like the Tsukuda model, rather than foot pegs.
It seems to be a better solution to hold up the weight.

Just saw this posted at OSW. Lonnie's Hudson Head is done and ready. https://www.onesixthwarriors.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66211

hmmmm. Didn't WOW me right away. Although the profile is pretty good...and the 'white' casting on the HT neck looks pretty cool and for some reason, looks more like Paxton to me than the 'orange' casting. Think I still prefer the Chronos one from Les though. Like the teeth and the hair being a bit more flat better. :D

Not bad, but I still like my FML Chronos repaint. I will be very interested to see what Les does with this one.

Actually, looking at that picture again, the sculpt is pretty great. maybe it's just that the cheeks that make it look 'off'...they look a little too puffy (Bespin Han Solo Syndrome!)...Paxton was pretty scrawny when he did Aliens...

Lonnie did a great job with a very difficult sculpt but it has no expression, just kind of staring, good profile though.

I'm am SO happy I snagged a FML Hudson now, mine has crazy good expression, teeth, much happier but kudos to Lonnie.

Yeah, I applaud Lonnie's effort but that FML Chronos repaint is pure Hudson. The gritting teeth and facial expression emote Hudson, that sculpt does not. I guess for a static Ops Hudson it would work but that's not how I am displaying mine.
