Alien: Isolation

This was the thougest part of the game for me. I managed without noisemakers so it is do able. Try listening good to where it is and go step bij step. Also some exploring before you try it the right way might help.

Managed to finally get past that part, that save was so rewarding. Though I had to switch it to medium difficulty.

I found noisemakers useless myself. Used them once on hard mode.....just not needed imo

They're an option.

For example, you're in the middle of a corridor and the alien is nearby. Gotta go West. Toss one far East, while hidden. The alien will run towards it. Get the hell out of there. But quickly!

It works.

GAH!!! This game is tough, I'm still trying to get past the damn Alien so I can search through the doctor's rounds and I don't have enough components for the noise maker. Any advice?

keep moving! and use a flare if you have one, its just as good at distracting it.

Just got the flamethrower. It's good, too good, the Alien dropped right in front of me and then seconds later he fled from my fire.

I drop in here to see where Freaks are progress wise and to pick up helpful tips. I'm still plugging away, grinding this game out 15 minutes at a time. Although I'm not far along in the game as my schedule does not permit me much playing time, I still have so much fun roaming areas avoiding Joe's and hearing the pounding steps on the alien above me.

Alien isolation is unique. It ain't for everyone.

Also, I think IGN got paid off for that COD review.

I couldn't care less about professional gaming reviews anymore. I hold user reviews, and even YouTube reviewers like Angry Joe in much higher regard than the likes of IGN.
