there are a lot of people trashing the game, but then there are the few that praise it, lol, I went there just to see what was going on about the game and haven't stop laughing for the last 20 min at the arguments.

someone is asking people to Contact their State Attorney General For A Refund


kinda sounded like a Gearbox employee defending the game, but is funny to read it.

I honestly wouldn't doubt they would have moles in their own forum doing very that. They're not fooling anyone. Anyone can easily go to Wikipedia and get the list of awful review numbers to see how bad it is for themselves. You don't have multiple media outlets all reporting the same thing and they are all wrong

I saw the poster for this game at the mall, I was so excited about it, then I come here and I read pages and pages of how much it sucks LOL. I can't believe it. I am still curious about it but I Will probably never play it.

GBX has created a pretty ****ed situation for themselves...they need to stick with Borderlands and not worry about other games...they suck at everything other than BL

No, they need to finish the Brothers In Arms series. The first two were great. They screwed Hells Highway up (still not horrible).

I beat the game finally. F'ing terrible, not a damn thing is good about it. The story is uninteresting, voice acting is garbage, gameplay isn't even close to being fun, and it has ps2 graphics. Theres not one thing I liked about it. Gearbox should be embarrassed. The game should be called Colonial marines vs. weyland yutani. It felt like you fought them more than the actual Aliens.

In the games defense it's NOT "unplayable", but at the same time you don't need to read any reviews to know this game fell well short of anything remotely impressive... All you need to do is put the disc in and play it for yourself. As far as reporting Gearbox etc I think that's going to an extreme. I like the effort they made getting the voice of Michael Biehn aka Corp Hicks in the game and following very closely to the Aliens movie storyline. I mean they tried and IMO in some aspects it's decent but I definitely feel they missed the mark as far as "next gen graphics" etc, but it's still enjoyable to play as an Aliens fan. I'll just sit back and let the people who feel like they need to report Gearbox do their thing. I mean if the end result of this game is any indication of their work ethic they should be reported. In other words if we as fans from first person shooter games to Aliens fans were victims of the makers laziness and robbed of better graphics and cinematics etc then we were also robbed of our money. But it's not the first time a game of any type has disappointed me. I'd just return it if I didn't like it that much. I think people are over-reacting here. I think you have to have a little more than $60 invested somewhere somehow in this if you're going to report game designers, but like I said I'll leave that up to those people sit back and let it all play out. The chips will fall and the dust will clear. Right now it's just a lot of unhappy and disappointed fans.

I think this is the saddest part about all of this. that there probably won't be another Aliens game maybe for ages, maybe never. They had one chance to make a really good Aliens game and they blew it. They rather work on Borderlands 2 than focus on this game. (from what I hear)

No offense to BL since I never played it, but if they put more time into this it could of ended up a Call of Duty killer.

It's a real shame, seeing how Aliens has such a colossal fan base and is revered as one of the greatest Sci-Fi/ Sequels in film history.

Honestly the addition of Biehn and Henriksen, et al, was so late in the day I suspect it was all just a marketing effort to try to help mask the fact that they were stuck with what they knew was going to be a real stinker of a game.

Therefore getting original cast involved was a way to hopefully distract the fans and better give the illusion of this was going to be an a-grade release title, when it clearly was never going to turn out to be a-grade no matter what happened.

Might as well have left it with Rebellion.
