HICKS...

This is by far my favorite HT Marine fig...FML repainted Stoner head. DarkArtist weathered BDUs and Armor Detail, repainted arms and tattoo... Hudson helmet strap. I relocated his knife sheath to his left side and may replace it with an EVA knife. Don't know if I'll add the back armor graffitti...

Awesome Hicks pjam! I went ahead and painted on the back graffiti on my Hicks' armor. Even though after I get a shotgun and sheath from Chris at EVA, the back graffiti will mostly be blocked by the sheath. Once again....great job on Hicks! :D

Very cool pics you got there pjam! And those are the definite Colonial Marines! :D

Just out of curiousity...would you mind tallying how much it ended up costing you to do all these custom mods/paintjobs per each figure?

Oh geez...I just noticed.....did you even get Hick's farmer's tan done on his arms?Or maybe the light from the photos is playing tricks on me.

Thanks again, guys. Now they're ready for some Warrior Action, after Apone is geared up (I just dig him in his BDUs and cap so that will have to wait). I'll take a "geared up" group shot soon .:D

Bardoon, Darkartist also painted his arms and treated them as well to look more realistic. I think the tattoo area may appear to be a farmer's tan. I don't know what my customized collection ended up costing, never really thought about that... but whatever it was, it was well worth it. This collection will last a lifetime. :D

ps I just noticed part of Hick's shirt tail is hanging out. LOL. Hey I might just leave it that way....

Looking really fantastic Paul!! Really happy to see it all come together.

And to answer the question on the arms, it's subtle but slightly lighter on the upper arms. Not to mention the arm hair that Michael has, had to do that too. :D

Thanks to you bro, you made my Hicks come to life, love everything you did, no notes needed when it comes to Josh and Hicks, just let him go crazy! :lol

Now my Guys are finally done and ready to face the Warrior. Gotta find a fish tank under gravel filter plate though... I think I found some made by Lee's, hope that's the one Facebox used...

One very silly question: how do you guys get to roll up the sleeves that high up? I haven't been able to get much farther than the elbows and then it just starts becoming too thick to keep rolling up... I've been thinking about being more radical and just cutting a bit off.

Its impossible to roll up Hicks sleeves that high without cutting the length a little. I cut mine at the elbow joint and threaded the edge to prevent it fraying, before rolling it up.

Another killer set of photos there P! Hicks is definately the coolest of the marines figures. Im loving the worn look on the armor, makes it look incredibly real.

Honored to be a small part of your set also, Paul! :D

As for Hick's sleeves, cut them off at mid sleeve, about at the elbow, and roll tide, roll! Takes some packing to roll them tightly enough.

Honored to be a small part of your set also, Paul! :D

A Small part? I think not! Les, you made these figures into Film characters and only a very rare talent can make that and my little dreams come true and that you did Sir. The honor is mine in having you do this for me and for so many other discriminating collectors...

Okay, pics not great but, as promised, a couple group shots of the gang all geared up for some serious SL3 Warrior action. I also want to credit customikey for his amazing Apone FL repaint, it is superb.

Thanks WG! Means alot coming from you and your dead-on eye for detail and figs! Yeah, these guys are finally done, took over a year and a lot of back and forth but well worth it. In hand of course they look ten times better, like little characters from the film.:D :lol

And with the PL on order and Warrior shipping this week it's almost time to get it on!! I may pick up another warrior or go for a BD Warrior if HT makes one, need some flourescent acid wounds! The only thing I have left is to ship all 5 shoulder lamps and maybe a motion tracker to hurricane for led mods. Now, Bring on Queenie!

Freaking awesome photo!!!!! That collection is to die for!

The pic reminds me alot of the publicity photo taken of the crew in the Sulaco hangar bay. Damn they look so good you could almost mistake this for the pulicity photo lol

Thanks for the pics P. Since joining the board your collection has really blown me away and inspired me to customise and tweak on my figs too.

fantastic paul!!! love it!! only minor tweak i'd suggest is to pull Drake's hat down just a smidge. will make him look even more badass. Still looks awesome though.

:D
