Yeah this thread has been quiet recently. Heres a pic im currently working on, still need to comp in a decent background.

Great muzzle flare! Love the effect! Looks so real! You'd need WAY more violence in front of it that my effort garnered! Great stuff so far!

I hope Hot Toys starts producing fodder or sections of the backdrop to go along with their Movie Masterpieces.

It's be great to have some Sentry guns, Hive resin, Predator2 ship interior or trophy wall, etc.

Just thought I'd share some work I'm currently doing on my Hicks photo and to bump this thread before it falls into the dreaded second page lol.

Its still a work in progress plus when I eventually get a Aliens Warrior figure I'l add it into this comp . . . being blown to bits lol.

Yeah I made the background from two photos of a concrete wall and a sheet of rusty old metal. I brushed on some more texture and adjusted the lighting. Initially I tried to make a composite background of Operations using screengrabs from the movie but it looked kinda phoney so I went for a graphic novel look instead with a simpler background. I may change the wall markings a tad and I still need to add some more lighting to Hicks.

The problem I have when making comps in photoshop is that I never know when to leave it alone and be done with it. Im always going back and changing things lol

Sadly I dont have a Aliens figure yet but if someone was kind enough to donate a pic of the figure Id be more than happy to have a go at adding it to the pic.

To work though the Alien would have to be facing Hicks and have some light to the figures left as we look at it . . if you know what I mean. Even better would be two pics with say the arms in differet positions, then I could merge them together to look like limbs and such are being blown off

My Aliens Warrior came today from BBTS. Sadly for the first time UPS dinged the crap out of the box, causing a big crunch in the top side of the shipper box and the alien box itself. Dissapointing as i really love the boxes and htis is really noticable damage, alot of obvious crinkles. But thankfully the figs fine so alls well in the end, better the box than the figure!

I snapped a few pics:

Im now up to 4 HT figs, and the alien and terminator being the the first time i've bought 2 at one time, but they cost less than batman and superman. And suprisingly are probably worth so much more of their cost than the other too. This alien is freakin crazy and i wasn't totally sure what to expect. He's massive, the 14" listing doesnt really convey his size. And the rubber body was freaky, cool freaky!

The only real flaw he has is his left ankle is really loose, but otherwise he's just amazing. God i love hot toys.

Nice shots Mags. Glad you dig him. I am always finding more to love about this piece. It's an instant classic IMO.

The left foot seems to be loose on quite a few of these. I'm gonna use a little blu tac in the joint to keep it tight.

I think everyone's left foot is loose. Mine was fine for the first few poses but eventually came off when I did my GIF thing and was really bending him around. It really just pops off when posing the legs in extreme positions for me.
