I just saw this anime called Gungrave that is really good. It's about friends with humble beginnings who rise through the criminal underworld together. It's a violent anime geared towards adults; however, it's not some random shoot em up...bang em up...mindless violence type of anime. It has a great story line that is interesting and even a bit sad.

I recommend starting at episode 2 since that's when the real story begins.

well the first episode is sorta considered the epilogue episode. But it is a cool series. Mafia baby.

All this talk of Deathnote, i'll have to give it a chance. i was kinda staying away from it because of all the hype, but if its good its good.

Ugh... I'm sorta in the same boat. I original read a few chapters of the manga when it first came out and stopped reading. i read the manga the duo does now (Bakuman) and its interesting.

Is Deathnote a long series or something that can be easily attainable. I dont want any of that dbz type episode 400. I cant dedicate myself to series that are long like that.

Have you guys seen Millennium Actress? I highly recommend this masterpiece. It's been years since the last time I've seen this film. I think I'll rent it tomorrow.:rock

I haven't seen a good anime in years. I probably need to get more up to date on what's out there. I actually think the last excellent anime I saw (excluding Miyazaking films) was either Cowboy Bebop or Now and Then.

For me, nothing will either beat the bittersweet dramedy "Maison Ikkoku". Anyonw else a fan of that series?

I've seen Maison Ikkoku, but felt that it was too long and drawn out. If you can find it and if you're into romantic comedy/drama anime, one of the all time classics is "Video-Girl-Ai"

I wanted to get this one on Blu.

Do any of you experts have any ideas on the best place to get it at a good price. Thanks.
