I've done that...well, more like my kid did. Was on the final steps of completing the UCS Slave 1 and my 4 year old got a little handsy. Thing took a nose dive off the table. Was difficult to determine what piece went where so pretty much had to start over. One of the joys of being a father who collects. :p

Man, I was able to get my order in right in the beginning of the all the "madness", but mine is still "waiting for new stock" as well. So long as it gets fulfilled at some point in the near future, I'm good.

Looks like all those that braved the brick and mortar LEGO stores really had a fun time, lol.

Mine is also now waiting for new stock, kinda sucks. What a mess their website has proven to be after all the hype they built up. Now they are acting surprised that there is a lot of interest and blame this for their website issues and shortage of stock? What the hell, wasn't it obvious that there would be a ton of interest?:lol.

But honestly I'm just happy to be getting one at this point, just a bit irked it may take around 30 more days.

Yeah, I'm in no hurry but definitely annoyed by how they handled all of this. They hype the crap out of this release but didn't prep their servers for launch. They send 10 to 15 per store but allow people online to order 2 per account and even 3 per in Europe. Then they play dumb and pretend they didn't foresee the demand. Riiiiiiiiight...

Well, it is "temporarily out of stock" now on the US website. Anyway, can't wait to see people post pics and vids of the Falcon soon.

I could see how they would think the demand wouldn't be so high for a $800 Lego set.

It's Star Wars, it's the Millennium Falcon, they touted it as the biggest LEGO set ever, their previous UCS release of this ship sold out, and that release would later be in the thousands in the aftermarket. All of that points to high demand.

The new falcon does look better then the original but I still think the original is pretty damn good. Hmm, really starting to sway towards the lepin knockoff of the original or maybe wait for a lepin version of the new Falcon.

I've had such bad luck with Lepin's missing pieces that I completely gave up on that nonsense. Frankly that's why I recently turned to collecting statues, but I couldn't pass on the opportunity to get a real Lego UCS MF.

It's still $800. People here complain all the time about $500 statue prices.

No doubt it's a lot of money. I'd even call it crazy money for a Lego set. That doesn't change demand. Those vocal here and other forums are a tiny fraction of the consumer base. Sales history and brands are the only safe indicators on how popular something might be. The evidence was there to point towards high demand.
