Most of the time I get Takara because they usually have better paint apps and quality control but there's also been occasions where I liked the Hasbro version better eg Masterpiece Skywarp or Universe Sideswipe.

I'm not sure there's any difference between the two on that particular toy, I got the Hasbro one as the wave it was released in actually showed up at retail here in the UK and aside from the usual Hasbro paint app issues ( some areas are the wrong color ) it's decent enough.
