Could iGear be on the verge of creating the ultimate G1 Bumblebee?

The early signs look good :yess:

Silent Bob,
Still no Protector but I missed a parcel whilst out so that may have been it as I checked with Kapow when sorting out my trade with them and they said all the FP orders have been posted.

I am also waiting for,
ROTF Voyager Class Bludgeon
Universe 2.0 Wal-Mart Exclusive Hardhead
Headrobots Hothead
Forza 3 Ultimate Collection for the Xbox 360

Wheeljack is one of the other United toys I plan on getting as after seeing the difference in the white plastic on both versions of Jazz I decided I wanted the one that doesn't look like it's been left in the vicinity of a heavy smoker:rotfl

The other United toys I'm getting are,

Jazz ( pre-ordered )
Tracks ( getting in a trade )
Grapple
Lugnut
Scourge

Wow you guys love the Rod! :rock

Some teaser pics of a new iGear proto:

Looks like the New Beetle is a Deluxe that's heavily based on the Classics/Henkei BB transformation and the old school Beetle will be Legends or Scout sized and based on the G1 transformation.

Put me down for 1 of each :)

The usual arguments about the ethics of iGear's product have broken out on places like TFW but for me it amounts to this,

iGear look to be releasing 2 different BB's with VW Beetle alt modes.

Hasbro can't find a way to convince VW to let them use their car officially but are about to debut several thousand more Movie BB's.

iGear win :)

I agree 100%. I admit that Faith Leader may be a shady idea but these Bumblebees are NEVER going to happen from Hasbro.

And even as far as Faith Leader goes - if Hasbro made one, I'd buy one. IGear may not have engineered the thing but they did something great with the Masterpiece blueprint. I'm not loosing sleep over buying a bootleg. Hasbro executives sleep on pillowcases full of my money.

bought mine last week, and probably going to get ultra leader next week.
I'm STILL looking for Blurr and tracks. Can't find them anywhere. JUST found Darkmount/straxis last night.
takes FOREVER for my town to get anything... and the movie toys are on the horizon....
Hell, I never even found Inferno.

I'll never find Jazz and Wheeljack. I think i may just cave and get the Takara versions.

Glad you posted that - I just popped over to the iGear store to take another look at Ultra Leader and I saw that they offer the Faith Leader animated head separately now. :rock

lol i know. It's a pain, but sice they're planning to do a magnus trailer later this year, I'll go ahead and get ultra.

So I ordered the head like an idiot and then saw your post, contacted iGear, and got a refund all within the last few minutes. :lol

I do want to get Ultra but not until I see the armor.

Some good pics of DotM Ironhide. I wish they stuck with the same colors as the TF1 figure, but wow, this mold does look great. Fantastic articulation too from the looks of it. The cannon is a bit meh, but apparently you can still fit the weapons of the old Voyagers on there, so at least that's a relief.

He's great from the waist up, but those legs are so darn lanky. I dont understand why they couldn't have mashed the down to make them shorter and thicker.

from TFW2005.com

I read this news on alt.toys.transformers earlier today. Zobovor found some interesting listings in the Walmart computer. New SKU's for Generations Deluxe Starscream, Warpath and Arcee!

It looks like we're finally getting a G1 style Arcee! Warpath appears in the Rodimus vs Cyclonus comic included in the Battle in Space set. The design resembles the G1 version so I assume he will be a new mold. I wonder if Starscream will be a Classics reissue/redeco or a WFC version.

Here are the SKU's:

TRA GENERATN SCOURG 65356956584
TRA GEN SERGEANT KU 65356956585
TRA GEN OPTIMS PRIM 6535695644
TRA GENRTN BUMBLEBE 65356956645
TRA GEN STARSCREAM
TRA GEN THUNDRCRACK 65356958291
TRA GENRTN WHEELJAC 65356958290
TRA GENERATN WARPAT 65356959009
TRA GENERATION ARCE 65356956651

Hasbro don't give a crap about distributing their products properly in the UK despite the fact that retailers declared Transformers one of the most consistent sellers here SINCE G1 so I couldn't give a damn about people ripping off their designs especially if said designs can be improved on the way iGear did with Faith Leader or as with the 2 Bee's, the TFC Devastator etc,etc they're items that will never be released officially.

lerath,
Intresting info although I'll be hugely suprised if Arcee bears any resemblance to the G1 animation model in either mode. If anything she'll be a motorbike.............probably a retooled Wreck-Gar.

Warpath on the other hand could be a new mold.

BTW that Bayformer is allegedly Ironhide but it looks even less accurate than the previous 2 attempts :slap

oh nice, I really hope that Starscream is a WFC version. And I guess I'll hold off on an iGear Arcee until I see what that one looks like

Starscream was apparently top of Hasbro's list for the next new WFC mold probably because of the repaint potential so there's a chance depending on how much of their budget has gone into developing new versions of Prime & Bumblebee for the TF3 lines.

As for Arcee I'll save myself the inevitable disappointment with Hasbro's and just get the iGear version.

Accuracy seems to have killed any of HFTD's Deluxe's potentials of being tall, so I'm fine with this one. And the details are more accurate than the previous overused Voyager molds.

Personally I'm happy with this new one, and may get it if there aren't as many fiddly bits.

They can, according to Peaugh. He says that the knees are double hinged and can be collapsed a lot further. They're still not as wide as in the movie, but it's a definite improvement. Hopefully we'll see some pics of that soon.

Fair enough if you like it but the £30 or so that an imported version of that Ironhide ( UK release is doubtful ) is likely to cost me can be better utilised towards any one of a number of 3rd party releases all of which I'll want more than any Bayformer.
