Anyone see this yet? A 20"inch Optimus Prime. Not sure if this is a custom or not.

From what I heard, the company who is making these is Calibre. They have acquired a license from Takara.

They have been endorsed by Takara at the Singapore Con. It will be a 20" Statue and estimated price will be $1500.

:)

Sounds like they're articulated with light-up features.

-Collectible articulated resin statuettes
-Dark of the Moon Movie Version
-Cold cast resin & metal parts
-Electroplated parts
-Real rubber tires
-2 interchangeable heads (with or without faceplate)
-Interchangeable hands, blasters, and swords
-Optimus Prime stands 20 inches tall, BumbleBee stands 14 inches tall
-Both Optimus Prime and BumbleBee have light up features (so far, the eyes are known to light up)
-Premium collector's box
-Coming 4th quarter 2012
-Details will be tweaked to closer reflect the character's cosmetic changes from DOTM
-Pending final approval from licensee
-Pricing to be determined

I could happily go the rest of my life without seeing another Movie Prime or Bumblebee.

Too bad that another piece of excrement thinly disguised as a TF movie is on the way as that'll mean another couple of hundred new versions.

There's good news though as the apparent price for Fans Toys Soundwave with Laserbeak is going to be in the region of $115....damn good for a Masterpiece scale toy if you ask me.

A customiser at TFW2005 ( anemis ) has also hinted that he's been approached by a 3rd party company about possibly producing his Skyfire which is based on the G1 cartoon and Dreamwave art.

If that happens and the same scale is kept it will likely cost a LOT but it would be a thing of beauty.

not a statue necessarily...:wink1:

:slap

Very nice DK. I was thinking of getting it as well but just can't pull the trigger yet

I found it at a navy exchange for only $30. No tax plus I had a scratch off coupon of a whopping 5% off :lol

Anyways gonna keep it in vehicle mode, I say it's worth it if you like movie Prime.

Geesh...can they make something a little more affordable? Maybe $700 or less? :slap:thud:

This is great news to me! I been looking for an MP size Soundwave and this price is perfect! :)

I know ppl are complaining about the estimated price of that new Movie Prime statue/figure thing, but it's only $300 more than the price of sideshow's statue. But this one will have real metal parts and rubber tires, lights and all that other good stuff plus it's roughly the same size as the Sideshow one. If I can swing it, i'll get it. That price is steep but I think it will be worth it in the end of course though, that all depends on the final product and patin apps and such

always wit the good deals DK :lol

yea I was thinking he'd look good as a stay in vehicle mode kind of figure. He'll like nice next to my G1 pime since they're about the same size

I still think $1200-1500 is WAY to damn much to be paying for ANYTHING from the Bayverse Transformers. I was good with my DMK (which is fully articulated) has rubber tires, and a one off paint job by myself.
