No doubt... there are a lot of great 80's flicks they could totally kickass on :rock

Bah. Just show me pics of the "It--Terror from beyond space" baby-doll.

A Hideous Sun Demon would be awesome too. Maybe a Barbara Steele Black Sunday figure or Karloff from the Walking Dead. A Steven Ritch Werewolf (Columbia 1956) would truly rock also. Save the 80's stuff for, well, later on.:monkey3

Yeah, I'm surprised we haven't seen images of it "It Terror from Beyond Space" yet... it was announced the same time as Blacula.

Got several of the figures today. Klaatu/Gort, Teenage Wolfman, Teenage Frankenstein, and NOLD zombie. Wish the paint job on the Frank would have looked more like the prototype. Have to admit I'm not much into the monsters, but the low edition sizes may make them appreciate in value. I'm trying to support everything Amoktime is putting out, in hopes that they will go after more scifi license.

I think 50's and 60's schlock horror and sci-fi films have had ample toys made of them over the years. Does every Frankenstein movie need a toy? Where are the Ice Pirates, the Solarbabies, and the Lost Boys? How about some Back to the Future figs? Or maybe Princess Bride or Teen Wolf? How about Police Academy or Time Bandits or Space Balls or even Spies Like Us?

C'mon Amok Time! We're ready to believe you!

I want to see the list... There's really not all that many toys from horror movies of that era... The 80's toys trump both those decades with the number of ALien and Predator toys alone... and robocop... terminator... etc...

Clearly you are ill informed or simply not that deep a devotee to classic monster films if you believe this to be a statement of fact. And the answer to your question about Frankenstein toys...Karloff or generic seems to be the only figures released until Amok's "I was a Teenage Frankenstein" figure. Unless you know of someone who has released figures of great classic 50-60's sci-fi and horror Monsters like Lee's Frankenstein or Mummy, Curse of the Demon, Hideous Sun Demon, Black Sunday, or countless others then WELLLLL, I guess you're pretty much...WRONG.:D

Now lets all be friends, we can both hope for more 50's and 60's horror and 80's movie love in 1/6.

BTW, Michael posted up a review of Hatton, looks good. Not a figure I have a need for, but again really cool to see the quality is there :rock
Quick Stop Hatton review

Wow nice review..I can't wait for mine from cornerstorecomics..they said their shipments of Rondo will arrive next week, I would've ordered from amok but they would've charged me about $10 more to ship here in Asia..

I just wanna see some diversity in their licensing. I think doing 1/6 figures from all eras and from every genre could only help Amok Time. I like the old monsters and aliens too, but with the exception of NotLD, we're just seeing one shot monsters and not full lines from one movie. I think they would produce some nice toys for newer films that have more than just one monster and a bunch of 2-D characters chasing it.

Actually they are also doing the classic Battlestar Galactica figures, with 5 new characters in the first wave. I'm more interested in these then I am the monster stuff. I'll support whatever they are making at this point as I'm hopeing they will be successful and branch out into other license.

With Hatton out of the way, I wonder if AmokTime could pick up the rest of Sideshow/Universal's scraps, and give us a 12" Claude Rains Phantom and Ygor.

I love my old monsters, but i like my figures role-specific for the most part. There are some exceptions, like Bela and Boris, but Ricou?
