Oh year, it gotta ignite. There no reason why it shouldnt, unless Anakin hasnt ignited it yet:D

Just the kind of "Well, DUH!!!" reply I was considering posting. :lol I mean, why would you even consider having an unignited lightsaber? It'd be like a porn star holding a limp ... uh ... you know.

I posed my 12" Jedi Luke holding his lightsaber un-lit. I wonder if he feels impotent...

My view on sizes: I think the best thing any art director can do for a sculptor is give them variety of scales! I LOVE that about Sideshow. They do it all, so you never know just what size you might get to work in next.

each scale has it's challenges. for portraits, 1/4 can't be beat! I really love it! I don't have to use magnifiers as much! :D

Trev

SO EXCITED!@!!!!@!@!@!! :maul

Khev, I hate to get hopes up, but I did feel better about the quarter scale version. the hair was a lot of fun, and I think the likeness works pretty well. I had the honor of seeing the prototype in person...and I REALLY loved it.

That's what I like to hear Trev! I'm *very* glad that you were given sculpting duties on this one. I'm counting the days until the next newsletter!

Heh, Yeah I have him pose also wioth the unlit saber. Not a big fan of the "lit" sabers from the 1/6 figures.

However the PF sabers actally light up... I think with LEDs. That would be cool.

Man I am stoked for this PF... And so far hearing Trevor is on the sculpting duties, even better.

Spoken like a true fan of both but not of Marvel. Its all relative to your fanbase. I have loved Marvel as long as I have loved Star Wars and for me when you see things like The Hulk in PF its really breathtaking.....seen in 3-D and looking as if stepping off of the pages I loved as a kid into real life that feeling?....its unreplaceable....

I feel the same about certain Universal Monsters, LOTR, SW......unfortunately they've hit me with a tripple whammy in one shot....

I like Marvel it just isn't anything I care that much about compared to the other two. I've seen the Hulk PF in person and its awesome but I wouldn't give up any of my LOTR or SW items for it.

Interestingly, though I have great faith in Trevor, I think some sculptors have stated before that they're more comfortable in the 1/6 - 1/7 scale versus 1/4, or maybe I just think I read/heard that. I imagine as with any art form, you get real comfortable with certain stuff, so if you did 1/6 heads more than anything, it may feel awkward doing 1/4 even though it's a bigger canvas and more room to work with and the ability to be more detailed.

I'd think that no matter what scale you normally work in that bigger would be better. You can get more detail and thus capturing a likeness is easier. Trevor is a rare one that can get a likeness in 1/9 like the Frodo vs., but I can't wait to see his first? 1/4 scale.

If I had the money and the space.... this would be my first 1/4 scale figure. I've never been interested until now, and this could easily replace my own custom ani as one of my favourite pieces.

A Trevor sculpted PF???? i CANNOT wait to see more pics of this @rock :rock :rock

(and the clothing should be phenomenal!)

I've been looking forward to an Anakin PF ever since the line started and I was very excited to hear the news. However, after looking at the preview image again I noticed a couple inaccuracies. The robe appears to have a crinkled texture - only the tunic is supposed to have that texture, the robe is made from a smoother wool. Also, the leather tabards appear to be top stitched which detracts from the look.

I'm not usually one to nit-pick anything but I really hope these things are changed before production. Although I've researched the costume more than any sane person should do, so these issues probably don't bother anyone else.

I actually noticed the same thing, but wasn't going to nitpick due to my excitement over the piece. The other thing that bothers me is the material used for the tabbards, looks like it has a lot of grain to it....too much fabric backing, not enough pleather coating.

But, these things I can over look, as this will still have a welcome home in my collection!

I'll be all over this PF. I really like the hand in the preview image, and I really can't wait to see the whole figure. I'd hope to have a "sith eyes" swappable head.

:rock

I didn't even realise it came with a robe...

That's cool...I like having the hood up on robes...

And if it does come with a siyth eyes exclusive head, then it'll look even better...

I hate getting news late! I am extremely excited to see more images of this. Do we have any clues about when and how this is going up for sale?
