It is a long lost love I agree. Mine had been in a box for about 6 years before I started buying again this past 3 months. The current value of some of these figures now have skyrocketed. And they'll increase once the Hobbit line comes out.
I'm gonna keep searching for the rare ones and then focus on the Hobbit. Still searching high and low for a Cave troll in the red box!

Cheers.

Looking for Toybiz figures. If anyone has these and want to sell let me know.
Includes: Helms Deep gimli, Arwen Asfaloth red and blue, Cave troll green, Fellowship 9pack w/ cloth, Canada excl Ringwraith horse and Frodo, mail away uruk hai.

Thanks.

i recently boguth some these they seem to have melted over the years must ave been from all the rubber clothes

I just picked up the "Defeat of Sauron" 3 pack. My buddy owed me some store credit and he's put out some of his old figures. I half expected them to crumble to dust when I opened the box but they are in excellent shape aside from the usual stuck wrist joints. I never owned this Sauron but he has to be one of the best small(ish) scale figures ever!

Has ANYONE seen anything from Bridge Direct yet? I saw a you tube clip, but all it showed was the 'No Photography Allowed' posted outside the Hobbit display at Toyfair...sure hoping that something surfaces soon...

Whatever happened to the good old Chinese factory spies with cell phone cameras like ten years ago?

Nothing from Bridge yet. They gave prices on a bunch of figures in March but since then it's been tight lipped. I am so anxious.

I just bid on Helms Deep Gimli...crossin my fingers that I win!

Unfortunately, any forums regarding Toybiz are slowly dying or are extinct..

However, I am still searching for Fellowship Cloth cloak 9 pack and 1st wave of Burger King mail away Uruk Hai.

Any info is appreciated.

i just missed an auction on Ebay for the Orc Lt...it ended up going for $31....which is a VERY nice price..sealed and mint.damnit!!!

I have a few items on my watch list...i love these figures..very detailed and very cool.

wow I had no idea about these. I totally missed out on them when they were in stores. I don't think I ever even saw any of them, which is odd because I'm always checking toy stores. Makes me really really sad I missed out on them when they were out.

kinda makes me want to start buying them all. The likeness is really good in some of them, the clothes and armors look really decent. Looks almost as good as something NECA would have made. Definitely great looking figures.

These figures are a big part of what invigorated the hobby for me. I was a pretty casual collector before they came out.

toybiz is great and stumbled upon them looking for other 1/6 12 inch figure's and there's some good one's in thier line for kitbashes from xmen to lord of the rings i still need to pick up lotr gimlee and few other shhhhhhh thier a secret to everyone....

I like em, but once I started buying 1/6 I can't afford anything else....Hoping to be out of the hobby by summer 2013...but you know how that goes....now that I want out....they will bring out the must have on my list:lol:lol:lol:lol I thought the DX10 was it, but lo and behold here comes the DX13......

After getting the new Hobbit figures and watching LOTR, I decided I needed to recollect these guys.

I really am in awe of them. I had forgotten how cool they were, having sold my collection quite a while ago. I have MUCH more of them than I ever did back then, though. I swear once I started digging into how many figures were released I was flabbergasted! This was a HUGE line! I am surprised because I'd say that at least 50% of this stuff never even appeared in my area.

I think I've gotten pretty much all the figures I want, which was a lot! Many of them are still coming, but I'll try to post some pics when I get them all set up. Can't wait to add the rest of the 6'' Hobbit figures to the mix, once those arrive. :)

These were very well done for what they were and their price was okay too...A great range of characters too was done...not too many film characters were left out

That's what I liked about seeing these. It looks like almost everyone was made. They even have a Frodo in Goblin armor I was so shocked they made that, That was my favorite scene in the movie when Frodo and Sam use the goblin armor and when I saw the figures I Was like "no way"

The likeness on the faces is really really nice too. I might start with those two and buy my way over the rest.
