Don't apologize Vlad, or at least certainly not on my behalf. This is a public message board where ideas are to be freely communicated, agreed upon or not.

I don't think he should. Again, I was just simply stating that I and to make sure I wasn't off my rocker others felt the same.

I find that constructive criticism (which you have ALWAYS demonstrated) can often make things much better than they would have otherwise been.

More often than not yes. Always no. Everybody has their moments.

Hair color is definitely hurting it in that image, BUT, preview images are never fully true to the final look (ANH Han's hair was much darker in the preview versus the regular photos) so I'll wait and see the regular images, plus there's room for correction/error come production and his beard actually seems too light to me, so if they were to darken that the hair may not look so bad. I definitely forsee this being part of my collection. I love the character, I love this moment in the films, and it's a great pose.

Anyone know a place where I could buy a comparable shirt like that?

It's been so long, Dave at Rebelscum told me the shirt he used for his Aragorn, I think it was from some company's Gandalf if I remember right, it worked pretty good.

I agree that his hair seems a bit dark, but the likeness of him is great. I laughed my ass off at the other post about the Cro-Magnon Man forhead.

The only possible flaw I can find on this piece is the cheap looking clothing of the prototype. If they can do a good job with the textures of it then this one is another Andy B. instant classic.

As it is, this is a sure purchase for me.

RIGHT...been down the pub..had a few too many pints (thats not to say I have not seen this before I went - before you start on me!!)..hey hey-its Christmas everyone so happy times and I hope everyone here has a great holiday.Now,I've read a lot of comments on here about this...some good, some nit pickety at best.This sculpt looks very good..compared to the Weta pieces it blows them away..full stop.But,and thats a very big BUT..it is the first one since Lurtz that has got me excited to buy.Never mind the black hair..what is the actual colour of it in the films?? Dark brown??Blah,Blah Blah....Sheesh.
As far as the SS sculpts are concerned, its great compared to the abominations that were Frodo and GTW.My only gripe with SS...consistency.If only they would produce figures that had this sort of likeness every time they would make a fortune.
Have to go now..MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE and I'm sure there will be more positives than negatives from this announcement!!

Not to be difficult or anything, but staring at the preview image I'm at a complete loss as to what you mean by the clothing looks cheap. Could you elaborate so I could better understand?

I wonder if they might pull a Gandalf PF and have the exclusive be an interchangeable sword hand holding his bow, with an extra hilt to stick in his scabbard. It wouldn't be scene accurate but neither was the Gandalf PF.

I was gonna say, that cloak looks EXACTLY like what they used in the films. I've had the chance to see the actual cloaks from the movie and this looks closer than anything I've ever seen. The color, the fabric, the feel, the woolly softness--I'm just stunned. Having handled the real deal, that cloak is the best match I've ever seen on a figure, and that's just from the prototype. WOW.

The likeness is great, imo. I think the only thing that bugs me is the hair.

I'm gonna wait and see more pics.

I don't see what's wrong with the hair. In the films it really is pretty dark, especially since Aragorn wasn't exactly the cleanest kid on the block. Besides, in the books his hair is most decidedly black, so either way it's being accurate to the true source of the novels. I think it looks better dark, and it helps bring out the Numenorean royalty of Aragorn's lineage.
