But you know what? EnterbayXMedicom are now the underdog. I feel compelled to root for them to beat Hot Toys. Wish for an upset.

exactly. even a friend of mine said that she liked the EB one better in regards of Depp likeness , but thinks the HT one captures the essence of Jack Sparrow

Seriously? The Shining Jack looks wrong to me -- not in the sculpting but in attitude. It would be like having a Bond figure with a big broad smile. Just not right for the character.

Does anyone have a comparison with a better pic of the EB one?

Hot Toys is good but needs more work.

That's how I feel. Personally, I think EB's sculpt itself is much closer to Depp. But overall, when you factor in the expressions, HT's is Sparrow.

That's so weird, I just don't see it in the EB as much. His eyes seem too narrow and his cheeks too full. But I'll need to see more pics. This one shot doesn't convince me yet.

But they did get the shoulder proportions down good.
