I'm half through the weathering on mine. Hope to finish this week and post some pics.

How Santa-ish is it in person? Since they do have some Weta connections I would if the actual custom was redder than it appeared on screen and that is what they based it off of.

I'm still getting him. Not sure if or how I will be able to dye the santa out of it but other than that and the one picture of the base body I am liking what I am seeing. I am curious about the base body's shoulder articulation. From the one picture it looked like a very simple limited range which I am fine with on the one arm but I would like his one useable arm to be versitle.

TBH I was a bit disapointed with the body. Looks like an old Dragon body.
I will def swithc mine with a HT knock off body. Gives him better proportions.

I seen the shirt he is wearing on Ebay. Couldn't tell from the pic but please tell me the deformed part of the arm protruding from the shirt is not cloth? Does that look realistic?

ETA As for the body. I'm hoping the crap body is because they are still working on a body due to the problem with the Kaustik Plastik body. If the one shown is going to be one they release with future figures it will definitely put a damper on future purchases.

This depiction also has a reddish "Santa" look. The Asmus rendition does not bother me at all, I think it will be amazing in hand.... speaking of which... lets get more in hand pics!! :panic:

People complained about the red on SSC's Moria Orc PF - but in person it was perfect. So I'm not worried about the color on this guy really.

I wouldn't say it was perfect. Although I don't have a problem with it personally, a lot of people still complained even when it was in hand. Other than not matching the prototype color, the main issue was the actual fabric color didn't match the sculpted fabric color. That shouldn't be a problem here because there's no sculpted fabric, only actual fabric.

Yeah, they're really making odd choices for their basebodies... first a completely jacked up KP01 that made no sense as it was short and had limited articulation. And now one that looks like maybe a NEO3 Dragon :huh

The body choice doesnt bother me too much, only because how much range of motion did the character even have? His elephantiasis-like affliction must have limited some movement haha. How come more people are not rolling out in-hand pics of this bad boy??

I actually do care about the body inside. Even if it isn't to make some great posing a good body is always better cause it always looks more natural even if your figure is in a neutral position.

THe body included have some crappy legs articulations. I have changed mine.
Pics coming this weekend with the beast all weathered.

Here's the beast.
Asmus did a great job especially the paint on the face.

I darkened the suit to get more of a brown colour rather than the red santa.
I also repainted the full armour to get more details, it had a plastic look and wasn't painted at all.
Body has been swithced to a narrow shoulder tt. The body he is on is really limited in movement. Looks like an old Dragon body.
