Is Asmus going to do Frodo and Sam? Or Legolas? I know Sideshow did them many years ago but it's kind of silly to not do them just because another company did them a long time ago. By today's standards those sculpts look...not great.

SS did Aragorn.... Asmus did Aragorn. There is your answer.

Legolas has already been confirmed, and George from Asmus has stated that there are plans for Sam and Frodo. Having developed a hobbit body, Asmus has every incentive to produce the four Fellowship as well as Bilbo (and they could easily do at least two of each if the line continues long enough).

I ordered mine through SSC and they are now saying Jan or Feb. It's no different than Hot Toys, they don't always hit their date either. No biggie.

Well, I purchased directly from Asmus' website, they had a deadline on the pre-order, so they should at least give us some info

Cool, I wasn't aware they had made statements about it. I was never going to hunt down the rest of the fellowship on eBay and repaint them so that's good to hear!

Asmus, any plans to include their pre-Lothlorien cloaks, swords and scabbards with these figures?

Actually we did both items' prototypes alrady~

Unfortunately consider the price point needs to keep under $200, and the cost is actually equal to TWO figures ( two heads, two sets of clothing, two bodies.)
so it really is a matter to let go the less important accessories.

I wasn't a huge fan of the Hobbit movies, but I would easily buy at least two different Thorins. Maybe three. Initial Bag End outfit, full king's armor and maybe even his final battle outfit. The movies didn't entirely work for me, but I love the character and I love his design.

Loving the scale. And those feet look terrific! (I'm happy to give up ankle articulation if they look that good.) :clap

My only concern is that the hands seem awfully big. Are the hands in that picture the final version? (I noticed in other pictures that Merry and Pippin are shown without their hands attached. So I was wondering if that part of the design was still in flux.)

Though maybe it's just the pose or the angle of the picture that's tricking my eye ...

Love the scale. Hands are too big. Expression is ok but not what I look for in a hobbit. Those SS bodies would make decent dwarves once the have boots on.
