Asmus Toys: Merry and Pippin Lord of the Rings 1/6 Scale Figures

Actually there is one other thing; the lack of stands. I know the hobbits stand great on their own and people will be stoked by that, but it's nice to have the option. I have 19 LOTR figures all on LOTR stands (minus Ringwraith on a horse, and toy biz Gimli), and now I have two hobbits without stands. Drives the OCD crazy.

But honestly if that's all I have to complain about then really I have nothing to complain about haha.
I am an extremely happy fan so please hear that as me sharing my very small annoyances that do not take away from the positive of these little guys. I guess if I have to I can try and find some SSC hobbit stands on eBay.

Now I have to stop drooling over the hobbits, pull myself away from the detolf and go to bed.

Sorry guys it's been a busy day, here's a quick pic of the wee little hobbits. The photo is a bit out of focus but I'm loving these guys!
My best friend came over today, a non 1/6 collector, but a LOTR lover and he reckons they look perfect.

I think Pippin looks fantastic. Merry looks pretty good but the head sculpt isn't quite right. It's close though.

Really hoping mine arrive today. Hopefully Asmus creates hobbit size posts for the standard stands and put in an extra one with both Sam and Frodo or offer it as a separate item same goes for the pre-Lothorien cloaks. Overall the pictures on here look fantastic and it will be great to have another piece of the fellowship.

Hm. These are the first Asmus LOTR figures that are really, really tempting for me... Might have to bite.

And why is merry so angry? It would've been nice if their expressions complimented each other as they will be displayed together most likely.

While I do agree I've always pictured Merry as the grumpy one so I'm ok with it.

Picked mine up from the post office today. Really low serial numbers...both were #16 of 1500.

Overall fantastic set. Great buy for the price too although after Aragorn and Saruman I am used to getting fantastic bases with the figures. I was a big fan of Sideshow's hobbits but these are hand down better in my opinion; the feet look lot better, the paint is better, sturdier bodies and the weapons stay I the grip hands. Great job Asmus!
