Mandible's Character Breakdown.

I have to do these all the time and it got me thinking; what I would write for Avatar 2 characters:

Jake: Torn between bellowing orders at his family, to telling them they're a fortress, to the occasional fighting.
Neytiri: Blindly following her husbands orders. Crying. Fighting.
The kids: Endlessly doing whatever the **** they want without listening to anyone, especially their parents.
Quaritchatar: Basically, The Terminator.
Aussie boat captain: Failing to understand the subtleties of the craft of acting.
Every other voice character: So insignificant, it hardly matters.

(Best actor, performance, character, backstory - the outcast whale, Payakan).

$134,000,000 domestic weekend.
$350,900,000 international.
$484,900,000 worldwide.

A nice haul but far below the likes of NWH and EG. And I'm sure the runtime and "been there done that" will cut into repeat viewings.

Hopefully that means it makes a healthy enough profit to keep going with the series but not so much that there has to be this big backlash against it. Underperforming compared to recent blockbusters might even light a nice fire under Cameron with regard to future installments.
The other thing to add is that this international box office take includes China, unlike NWH and TGM.

I've seen mixed reports on the $2 billion break even figure, but if it is true, I suspect it will struggle to meet it.

I'll catch up with numerous friends this week, so I'm going to see what kind of buzz this movie has with them, but it is going to need some long legs to reach $2 billion. As much as I enjoyed it, I don't have plans to see it at the cinema again.

Also, what's the BEST scene in Avatar 2?

Everyone seems to have enjoyed it but I don't hear a real excitement about the film. It's kind of "yeah I liked it... Next" review. People 'talked' about Maverick -- like specific scenes that rocked -- but here most people point out the same flaws and are either put off by them or tolerate them for the larger experience. What Avatar scenes rocked?

Neytiri on the warpath.

If True Premium screens are indeed on the low end and honestly they really are i’m talking Dolby level and above then I can see the $100 a ticket per person becoming a thing earlier than the expected 2030 when theaters plan to broadcast the moon landing in 8k HFR 120 3D.

I predict 2 years earlier you’ll see the prices go up to $100 per person due to the increased number of regular screens having to be fully converted to true premium levels of certifications.

Yup movies truly will be a once in awhile affair it’s either 4 movies or a Hot Toys lol

Hunh?

Here in NYC true Imax is almost $30!

Dude I just paid $8 for eggs and $5 for a quart of milk covid said hold my milk and eggs lol

Remember i’m talking whatever high premium will be in 2028-2030!
I paid $24 AUD ($16 USD) to see the movie in Vmax 3D, which is pretty must, the same as Imax. You're getting screwed in NYC.
