Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Russo’s have confirmed that there are only 10 minutes of unused footage unknown if they mean raw or finished.

Please let it be a Hulk rage moment.

If its 10 min of unused Hulk rage moments and they reinsert it and release it.. I will change my legal name to Russo :lol

Holy crap lolololololol

Khev will also Holy crap lolololololol

Yes I am, lol! :lol :lol

Also still laughing about "Khev's body found the next day." Lol

It's been confirmed - It's 10 minutes of Hulk, but it's
Prof. Hulk weeping uncontrollably during the deleted Nat memorial service, lamenting how she was the love of his life. There are cuts to Bucky & Sam looking embarrassed for him, then to old man Steve, who simply smirks.... :lol

Sorry, couldn't resist. :wave

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

So did the past Gamorra go back to her place in time only to die later or did she go back with the guardians? They never showed her again. Did Cap also replace the key Quill used to open the door in the first Guardians movie? Wouldn’t the Hydra/Shield plot play out differently now that they think Cap is in on it ?

Past Gamorra stayed in present day, but she's not with the Guardians, she left alone and didn't attend Stark's funeral since this version doesn't know any of them. They did show Quill searching for her at the ship before Thor enters, then he quickly swipes it away before they can see it. Basically the plot of GotG3 will be Quill trying to find her.

I guess Cap did change the past by making Hydra suspicious, but then Cap was supposed to find out and fight them in the elevator later anyway, so I don't think much was actually changed. The Hydra agents had orders to attack Cap on the elevator which would expose them to Cap either way, it just happened a little sooner.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I can see the time travel stuff will be the discussion for the next 3 years :lol

Helpful tip of the day: It will never make sense. Just go with it. {wink}

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Also, he was supposed to replace the Tesseract right where it was taken, but they affected the timeline in two different places with a tesseract, once with Loki taking it. How do those things affect the present or the timestream?

In present day, Loki did have the Tesseract and gave it to Thanos in IW, right before he gets killed. It was never explained how he got it. This actually shows why present day Loki would have the Tesseract in the first place. Although they did try to explain that changing the pass will only create an alternate reality, seems like the writers don't actually follow that rule. Same thing with old man Roger just showing up, he wouldn't have been in this timeline if he left.

Didn't Loki take the Tesseract from the vault on Asgard before they escaped at the end of Ragnarok?

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

RDJ just said in an interview that he doesn’t see any other directors in the MCU ever taking on the physical requirements like the Russo’s did going from TWS to CW to IW to EG especially with the last 2 crossing over into debilitating punishment levels of stress.

That is crazy when you think about probably something only Peter Jackson fully comprehends.

James Cameron reads your post, his body is found the next day, lol.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Well there u go.

Don't get me wrong, I still recognize how others could take issue with the film, and not just disappointed Hulk fans. I mean the BTTF II time travel plot was definitely a bit more trite than I was expecting, but it was just so much fun (to me at least) that I give it a pass. I liked all those little bits like Hulk taking the stairs, Cap rejoining the HYDRA boys in the elevator, even the poignant reunion between Thor and his mother. Yes it was MCU's "greatest hits" but it was fun to circle back on those moments so many years after those films were released.

And for whatever it's worth to you and jye there was even a Cap moment that I thought was surprisingly underwhelming: him getting his original shield back. After him giving it up during CW's finale and then not having it all of IW I definitely expected something more than Tony simply digging it out of his trunk and wiping some stuffed animals off of it, lol. So I guess that was my Professor Hulk moment. ;)

Holy crap lol

Avatar has become quite the joke hasn’t it lol

Now how about this.

The RLM guys liked EG quite a bit actually.

Their 3 biggest gripes were:

1. Why laser lady (CM lol) didn’t just zap all the baddies on the battlefield therefore saving Stark from having to sacrifice himself to which I counter even if she had done that she still couldn’t beat Thanos therefore Stark’s sacrifice was still needed.
2. Why was Thanos so powerful taking on Thor, Cap and IM without the IG to which I counter he always was powerful without the IG ie; knocking out Hulk in IW.
3. How could Stark’s tech (glove) sustain the stones power to which I have no counter lol

They never brought up Hulk I guess JAWS and I need to let it go now. :rotfl

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I thought they were going to connect to the older movies in a smarter deeper manner where some of the specific plot points from those movies occurred because of information learned from the future.

For example and maybe not a great one but when Agent Ross says to a jailed Zemo that his plan failed so spectacularly Zemo responds with a creepy “Did it?”

That could’ve been Zemo knowing that a fractured Avengers led to the IW decimation.

Or Fury making things happen because of information learned from the future.

I don’t know something deeper I guess that would make us watch the older movies with a different mindset post End Game.

Yes, definitely. Like in those little news clips at the end of the original Avengers (where the one girl says "all I know is that Captain America saved my life") imagine if all the way back in 2012 a different person was telling reporters how thankful he was that Cap, Hulk, and IM saved his family from a bunch of Chitauri and back then we would have assumed that their actions were from a deleted scene or something that happened off camera but then AEG reveals that on their way to get the tesseract it was actually the 2019 Avengers that cross paths with that guy and save him and his family. It'd forever blow our minds rewatching that bit from the original movie knowing that it was describing something 7 years later.

You know I'd argue that their second point is because that 2014 Thanos was actually Thanos at his meanest/most dangerous. 2018 Thanos was getting so close to his goal that he became a bit more reflective and restrained. Wakanda Thanos could have easily killed all the Avengers charging him but victory was becoming such a reality that he just toyed with them instead. But 2014 Thanos was hungrier and an even worse menace to tangle with regardless of whether he had the glove or not. He was also raging that his daughter would betray him and that those he would one day "save" would all work together to undo his precious victory.

They never brought up Hulk I guess JAWS and I need to let it go now. :rotfl

I think this movie will just always play better as the culmination of Cap and IM's stories and not so much the Hulk. The Russos really have said that there's only 10 minutes of unused footage? That's insane if true.

Actually their exact quote was “5-10 minutes but closer to 5!” lol

But that’s deleted scenes for the bluray unknown how much extra footage really exists I bet alot.

Also interesting the movie was a “few minutes shorter” for quite sometime before the final cut!

The Russos told Feige "nope CM has no place in our movie" until her flick passed a billion and then they said "fine we'll add a couple minutes of her flying through a ship before being punched into the rubble," lol.

EG earned JL world wide gross in one day wtf :lol

Remember when we were all panicking over her EG involvement lol

Reduced....to....rubble. :lol

Yep the new face of the MCU went down like Ivan Drago (with his hairdo no less too, lol.)

And just like Rocky IV everyone was rooting for the Avengers until he punched her then everyone started chanting "Thanos, Thanos, Thanos," lol. I kid, I still don't hate her but I'm glad she didn't upstage the original Avengers. It just wouldn't have been her place to.

Hmmmmm.... ya know maybe that was my issue.... I just got done watching all of them again back to back over the past month.... It was not “circling back on these moments after all these years” for me. It was “I just saw all this” .. Thus maybe why I was a bit board and underwhelmed by it all.
