Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

My local Arclight... and there's a 4th board with even more. No wonder it broke a billion, right?

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

How the Russo’s took an already near perfect character and squeezed more perfection into him is just astounding.

Man did Hulk get shafted lol

I'm bummed that Hulk fans got so let down but I still can't help but laugh at JAWS' comment that Hulk was literally Thanos' easiest defeat. :lol

And with the projected demise of movie theaters in the next 10-20 years AEG will never be topped and James Cameron will have been forever dethroned at the last minute, lol.

EG hits 3 Billion!

Breaking News: US theater chains advise Cameron they will only show Avatar sequels 2 thru 4 if broken into short films.

"Latest development: Cameron demands that theaters show his Avatar sequels as full length features but theaters will only concede if he can find a single person on the street who knows the name of even one Avatar character."

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

The way Thanos was defeated made no sense at all if you think about. After all the buildup and the 14 million futures, it came down to Tony taking all six stones from the glove cartoon style. And then, Thanos takes his time, says something cool, then snaps his fingers but the glove doesn't work, so he looks at it and realizes that the stones are missing...wut? Wouldn't he feel that the stones are no longer in his possession? When you have them, energy flows through out your body and it gives you a boost, but he didn't feel that power go away at all when all six stones left him? That's like a typical movie moment like when the bad guy gets the gun and the gun is empty. :lol

And don’t the stones hurt when u touch them? Like for a regular human

He was an idiot to wait on his ass for this long. Should of struck while the iron was hot. Released the film in 2012 at the latest. Nobody cares about avatar anymore

And 9 out of 10 people who claim to know a character say "Gamora".

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I’m so happy to see you happy Sass!

Finally I thought you had given up on the MCU.

Thanx Jye but don't know if I'm happy 'coz just hit me that Tony made the sacrifice play and laid down on the wire
so now I'm gonna go play "Mr. Fantasy" and drink and cry....

at least until I can see Godzilla in IMAX 3D.

Dammit.:monkey2:monkey2:monkey2:chug

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

And I still can’t get tickets to see it again!

Yep. Every show I've been to is completely sold out - even the really late shows.

Poor Disney the trouble with success is folks will expect a lot over the next 10 years. One Reddit fake spoiler I read said the end credit scene was some guys harassing this other guy in a suit, and all u could see was the back. Then the camera focuses on the zip of claws coming out.

*Lies* but the theater would have exploded.:devil

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Anyone know if RDJ made a deal for a percentage of the profits? That would have been a genius move!

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Ended up with a half-day at work so I saw it again. As expected, I liked it even more the second time, especially the quieter, character-driven scenes.

...and I know it left a lot of folks cold in here, but I really loved the "passing of the shield" with Sam and Steve Rogers. That approving nod from Bucky and the perfect tone of respect and humility from Sam. Absolutely great stuff. "The "cheeseburger" bit with Happy was great too...

Good movie...many more viewings in store....
