Spoiler tags no longer needed.

I did like Falcon’s show of respect that was well written and delivered brilliantly by Mackie.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Still should have been Bucky though. This is where his arc was leading the whole time.

Knew iron man would die in this glad he sacrificed himself to save the universe it will be a big loss to the MCU if he is really dead. Is his contract up?

Didn't like how pepper was flying like a pro in a suit and engaging in an epic battle going toe to toe with born warriors and all she has done is pretty much manage Tony's life.

The way I see it, Bucky is an internationally wanted man whose brain has been messed with too many times. People would have a hard time seeing him in Cap's righteous colors after everything he's done, consciously or not. Wilson may not be a super soldier, but his record is clean like Rogers.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Then why did we follow him through all those movies and that big 6 year redemption arc if it all led to nothing? Yea, Sam is pure of heart like Cap. But Bucky had to work to get that purity back.

Bucky didn't even get a scene with his best friend to say goodbye.

Didn't either Bucky or Cap say "I'm going to miss you" before Cap when into the time machine, even though the expectation was for him to return in five seconds? The way Bucky looked in that scene, he knew what Cap was going to do.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I agree with Shadow it should’ve been Bucky.

But since Marvel is all about trickery just the fact that Falcon got the shield just about guarantees that Bucky will become new Cap!

The new bar.

Hollywood meltdown: how do they do this again?

Never will we see the likes of the MCU in our lifetime.

The MCU inadvertently may be the death of modern cinema....with all the streaming platforms, and lack of quality, investors may now sour on any film that does not produce MCU/SW numbers.....

Less money in because they cannot reap massive profits....the high Bar has been set, and in finance once that mark has been made, no one is happy unless its topped.

I want to agree with that Xipo but I think if any Phase 4 movie (or even Spiderman FFH) has a measly (lol) 130 million opening weekend and ends up between 850m-1.1b I don’t think Disney will have a freak out moment

They of all studios know the level of investment that was required (11 years) to arrive at EG results.

Create a great event people will come out for it.

Or make a Shazam and bomb lol

Why didn’t Tony just use the glove to pause everything and kill Thanos or is dusting the only thing that glove can do lol

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Someone on another site said Hulk and CM should have switched spots... she should have snapped the fingers and hulk should have destroyed the ship and fought for the glove and been in such rage that punched meant nothing until power stone was used...

I think I would have been happy with that

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I loved the movie but the ending sucked, could have done with out the pandering. It makes absolutely no sense why cap would give the shield to Falcon. The scene assumes these two had a closer bond then what was shown in the movies. Falcon joined Cap in winter soldier and fought with him in civil war but the history is not there. The whole scene felt forced because of this and definitely out of place (pandering at its finest). Over 60 years of history with Bucky replaced by a guy that idolized him but just became his friend recently and has nothing in common with him (other than being a good guy). Cap had gone thru so much more with Bucky, they went from good friends to enemies back to friends again. Not to mention, Bucky was injected with a similar serum as cap, passing the baton to Bucky after all they went thru and how much Bucky had grown from winter soldier would have been a perfect end to cap's character arc. He was able to save his friend from programing and the darkness that consumed him and Bucky in turn dedicated his life to honor his friend by assuming his mantel.

I don't have any problems with Falcon as a character but he is not a super soldier his only powers (if you can call them that) is mechanical wings and having a trigger finger with pistols. Cap is a super soldier whose expertise is hand to hand combat, its not even believable within the MCU that he could assume the role, unless its simply that a role and he isn't actually going to dawn the colors or the shield. I know they did this in the comics but it failed miserably probably for the same reasons I don't like it. Bucky is the only realistic replacement for cap, yes he did bad things under hydra programming but that's because of the programming not who he is. Isnt that the point of his and Steve's story arc, steve stuck by Bucky thru everything because he knew how easily that could have been him, had the Russians found him instead of Bucky he could have been the winter soldier too, and bucky captain America. They were very similar before their paths diverged due to circumstance and chance alone.

I'm 100% on Team BuckyCap. I want to see him as the next Captain America. But this post kind of nails it in terms of Bucky's "current status" in the MCU.

He was still recovering from his mental issues in Wakanda (who knows if he's 100%?) and as Blade said, is likely still a "wanted man". His time as the brainwashed "Winter Soldier" in which he committed countless assassinations isn't so easily washed away from the public AND possibly Bucky himself. Bucky may not feel "worthy" of the mantle...which is why he likely told Sam to go to Cap.

I think we'll see Bucky work to redeem himself in the Falcon/Winter Soldier series...and maybe by the end of the show we'll see BuckyCap..?

Cap wanted to give the honor to another soldier who worked hard to get where he was......just as he did before he became “super”.

Bucky would never be accepted as Cap by the public because of his communist past and his brain scramble.

Let now forget the first scene Falcon and Cap shared. They were two soldiers ....just talking about regular military stuff.

Besides, I do not think Bucky wanted the shield. You all assume that he would want it. I think he scenes in BP showed he was mostly resigned to a peaceful life. He only returned to the fight when asked. My interpretation is Cap knew Bucky well enough to know he didn’t want to be CaP.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Back to the Falcon moment - yeah, got me in the chest - u can pay attention more with the newness worn off - Cap so beat up and alone, and then that faint voice. It was EPIC. I live in pretty diverse area so BP & co. blew the roof off - also it was a nice moment IMO when T'challa uses Clint's name, considering his attitude in Civil War LOL.

Cap tightening the strap on the shield... there the last man standing when all looks lost. Then to hear that faint crackle of a voice in his ear and then to hear and see what came next. That right there was awesome. :yess: One of my favorite scenes without a doubt.

And don't get me going on IM. I don't think I've even been in a theater with a lump feeling in my throat but that was it 3 days in a row. If I'd shut my eye a tear would have fell. It definitely did not help with the theater silent and pretty much everyone else in the same boat as myself. It was tough, but I didn't bat my eye. :lol
