Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Cap defiantly rallies the ranks: "Avengers...Assemble";

Tony proudly declares: "And I am...IRON MAN";

Banner sheepishly mumbles "It's like...I was made for this...".

Yes, made to be used and then unceremoniously discarded. Like a condom.

Hulk is now the condom of the MCU. He was there for the good stuff, but if anything that makes it not quite as satisfying as it could have been. :lol

Proffesor Hulk when everyone rushes to Tony after saving the world. :monkey2

*exaggerated sarcastic voice*: "No..."

;)

I don't blame you though, you waited all year for your big Hulk rematch and were spectacularly let down. Almost all of us have an extremely vested interest in our favorites and you know I'd be in the same boat as you if I thought they screwed up Cap. It might be even worse for you because Hulk is the main Avenger who never ended up getting the much coveted "Russo upgrade" even in a previous film and now he never will.
.

I have been waiting since the original Avengers for the Hulk to shine again... I really thought (as did many others) that the Russo’s were setting something special up.

Yep was excited for the Russo treatment...

But as I said before I worried about how this will effect my future viewings of Cap movies... one of my fav parts of IW is Cap catching the spear and the Avengers theme playing.... now I think about it and it’s just another masturbatory Cap scene for the Russo brothers.

As I said if The real hulk ever gets a time to shine then maybe I can get by it all... if not or it just stays same... then i don’t know if I can look past it.

I read an article that Ruffalo is done with the part.. If they recast then all is good.. I have not liked him in the part since A1 and some of A2... but if this is it for Hulk then I am back to **** the Russo’s.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

The problem was Gilroy openly stating how the movie was a mess until he came along to fix it. And then he still wasn't happy. He came across as a bitter man and pompous ass. Not very professional to throw a fellow Director under the bus like that. Looked bad for both Disney & Edwards. The Mouse doesn't take well to being made to look like a fool.

Ron Howard never once said anything negative About Solo before he was brought on board. Nor did Whedon trying to fix JL.

I loved RO, and most likely it was still because of Edwards' passion. And I like the 1st Godzilla too. Hope he comes back around and doesn't let that crap hurt his career. He's young.

Edit.. Damn... Just looked up Edwards. Never realized he was as old as he is. He's 44. Looks much younger. I thought he was maybe in his early 30's.. :lol

What ? Didnt you get the memo? Whedon destroyed JL!

Hell I don’t see how any diehard Cap fan would even pick A1 over AOU!

But the first 2 hours of EG won’t be boring for the Cap fans either especially with that insane payoff!

We will speak on this again in a full year's time.

If you can still watch the first hour of EG with giddy enthusiasm than I shall not take your first born.

:lol :lol

So JAWS when the movie ended and Banner never did an awesome Hulk-out did you go full Chris Farley coffee taste test or was it more of an ESB Vader doing a double take after the Falcon disappeared and then quietly leaving the building without a word, lol.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

^:lol @ Khev

I guess they thought Banner/Hulk's unsnappening and then holding up the rubble would be enough Hulk heroism. They were wrong. Hulk isn't Hulk without rage. And I don't think anything Hulk might have done in the final battle would detract from Cap's moment or Iron Man's moment - it would simply have been another cool 'remember when' moment. :gah:

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Have to say it annoyed me enough aswell where I don't think I've talked much about what I liked about the film on account of how glaringly lacking it was in Hulk action - since standalone films seemingly aren't allowed you've gotta let him loose in the Avengers films. It's a waste if you don't.

I’ve seen it 4x, twice in one day and zero boredom. :yess:

Not expecting Hulk to be a bad ass helps alot on repeat viewings lol

That hulk will be forever missed. Talk about a huge nerf

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Serious question ... I re-watched Civil War the other night and it's SUCH a fun ride. Brutal action and choreography, some great scenes.

But Zemo's Rube Goldberg-esque plan is just wacky. I just go with it, because I forgive this genre a lot.

So how do you define 'quaity'?

Well its Marvel Quality... No Marvel movie makes my top 10 or even 20. We are not talking JAWS / Empire / Godfather quality here. But popcorn movie quality and Marvel has some of the best.

As for Zimo.. I don't even think of him as the main villain.. The film didn't really need one. It was about Tony and Steve.

JAWS is going to get angry. You won't like him when he's angry.

He's gonna come in here and be like:

Seriously.. I feel like a crybaby..You guys have no idea how I just want to ***** and moan every time I post.

Cap fans have nothing to complain about.. Except that they made Cap a selfish ******* at the end. :lol

:lol :lol

I was prepared.. I had asked some people about Hulk specific spoilers.. Basically.. Did Hulk get a moment to shine and a great moment at the end.. Everyone said I needed to keep my expectations in check..

It still turned out worse then I could imagine.

Kill em all for all I care :lol

I was worried about Ruffalo getting this part to begin with... I was not sure how an Oscar nominated actor was going to feel about running around roaring and slamming things.. I am not all that surprised that he was just himself in IW and then was basically just a big green CGI version of his himself where he could still act like Ruffalo.

Have to say it annoyed me enough aswell where I don't think I've talked much about what I liked about the film on account of how glaringly lacking it was in Hulk action

I know.. And that is what is so frustrating.. I wanted to love the movie.. I don't know if I can get past it.

It is and it was.

That's what I am hoping when I see it again.. That knowing that absolutely nothing is coming with regards to his character will help ease the pain.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Hulk's problems started long before the MCU...

I don't mind the idea behind this scene..

Hulk in the comics is shown sitting quietly in the woods with animals coming up to him.. It shows that he is truly gentle when.. "Left Alone"

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Idea:

"Home Alone" starring The Incredible Hulk... everything's fine, until two pesky robbers come calling. Ooooo, the shenanigans.
