Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Oh man regarding that Thor vs Thor scene that was initially in the script the Russo’s said this...

"We did have a sequence where they finally confront each other in Asgard," Joe Russo said.

"I think it got overly complicated and we liked Cap vs Cap better," added Anthony Russo.

:lol :lol :lol

"We thought it was more important to showcase Cap's A1 costume in a positive light (America's ass) while simultaneously showing how even the once cool A1 Hulk was off doing silly embarrassing things with cars just off camera."

lol

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Dude I just can’t holy crap....

I mean while I also had my Hulk disappointment I really just don’t want to be in JAWS shoes lol

Even when the MCU disappoints it doesn’t disappoint lol

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

We can't even make up scenarios more infuriating for JAWS than what actually happened on screen. I'm still loling at his realization that of all the MCU heroes Hulk was Thanos' easiest victory. :lol

I mean I can't even say "Yeah watch in the next movie Pepper Potts kicks more ass in battle than Hulk" as a joke because it really happened, lol.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Oh god please stop it hurts

Pepper Potts actually hit Thanos during that triple laser assault on him she actually made contact on him and knocked him over :lol

Hulk nowhere to be seen!

I am crying lol

:lol :lol

I mean I actually don't want JAWS to be this disappointed and bummed about the movie but man if Rage Hulk kicking ass is what you showed up to EG for then I almost can't imagine a bigger worst case scenario, lol. I mean short of the entire team taking turns gang raping him what else is there, lol.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

My sides hurt lol

The Hulkowski Brothers

Bryce Banner and She Hulk lol

The entire time I knew Hulk he only had one goal. :lol

As I said... Russo’s didn’t want Hulk stealing the show like has done in other movies... they have a hard on for Cap..

It is what it is...

Watching interviews with them.... the one without the glasses seems like a ****... he’s probably the big cap fan / Hulk hater :lol

If the film was truly great it would not have a character that was so easily made the butt of our jokes... by screwing the Hulk arc up so much, making this the Cap show, and having a “meh” first 2 hours an 10 min opening the Russo’s managed to make their worst film... and one that may not stand the test of time as we begin to see it’s more corny then exciting... More goofy then dramatic... Don’t believe me... Don’t worry.. I remember when everyone said AOU was great in that thread also. Time will tell.

Ok I admit the last paragraph was all my sour grapes coming out :lol

Though I really I do believe this film is nowhere close to IW, TWS, or CW in terms of quality.

I have still yet to see the film again... First time I have waited this long to see an avengers film for a repeat viewing in the theater.

I actually may just wait for home video.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I remember when everyone here couldn’t wait to see what the Russo’s did with Hulk.

Jye didn’t you say something about reading that one of the Russo’s wishes was to do a truly epic hulk scene?

This MCU is all messed up... they make CM the most powerful and she is not even close in the comics and the take the one hero that is literally known for unheard of strength and turn him into, whatever it is they turned him into.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

A1 may still be more re-watchable than EG... so Hulk might be saved over time.

I mean, honestly, the only thing people will rewatch over and over and over in EG is the last hour.

It's like Matrix Reloaded -- you watch the last 45 minutes, nothing else.

I'll watch all of IW, and the last hour of EG and have a full 3.5 hours of insane MCU finale.

*exaggerated sarcastic voice*: "No..."

;)

I don't blame you though, you waited all year for your big Hulk rematch and were spectacularly let down. Almost all of us have an extremely vested interest in our favorites and you know I'd be in the same boat as you if I thought they screwed up Cap. It might be even worse for you because Hulk is the main Avenger who never ended up getting the much coveted "Russo upgrade" even in a previous film and now he never will.

As for Joe Russo, I hear where you're coming from on his personality, but he definitely didn't start out as a Cap fanboy. In fact when TWS came out he was upfront about thinking that Cap as he was portrayed in the comics was kind of "boring" so he took pains to make him more interesting with a surprisingly brutal hand to hand fighting style (which has since been adopted by Netflix' Daredevil.) I definitely think the two writers have always been diehard Cap fans though.

Netflix Murdock gets beaten senseless at least every other episode, though. Poster-boy for concussions and a poor combatant given how many blows to the head he eats on a regular basis.

The real reason they cancelled the show is DD was punch-drunk. :lol

Cap has generally done considerably better. Must be the serum. ;)

Cap defiantly rallies the ranks: "Avengers...Assemble";

Tony proudly declares: "And I am...IRON MAN";

Banner sheepishly mumbles "It's like...I was made for this...".

Yes, made to be used and then unceremoniously discarded. Like a condom.

Hulk is now the condom of the MCU. He was there for the good stuff, but if anything that makes it not quite as satisfying as it could have been. :lol

Serious question ... I re-watched Civil War the other night and it's SUCH a fun ride. Brutal action and choreography, some great scenes.

But Zemo's Rube Goldberg-esque plan is just wacky. I just go with it, because I forgive this genre a lot.

So how do you define 'quaity'?

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

JAWS is going to get angry. You won't like him when he's angry.

He's gonna come in here and be like:
