Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Is that even possible at this point?

I am hoping that JJ somehow makes an entertaining film that at least will be enjoyable as a standalone.

RJ screwed things up so much by the end of TLJ (Story continuation wise) that the film is basically starting from scratch anyways.

For the Record.. EG is better then TLJ :)

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I think there is a lot going on behind the scenes than what we have knowledge of with Hulk like a battle having to do of all things the Hulk theme park ride at Universal that supposedly is pissing Disney off.

Look there must be some real animosity going on between Disney and Universal it’s like Marvel injured Hulk’s arm at the end for a very specific reason taking him out of commission like that.

I don’t know somethings up with that character that we don’t know about and may never know.

I mean I get it if Thanos’s arm was injured post snap then it only makes sense that Hulk’s was.

But why have him do the snap to begin with taking him out of the battle like that, weird.

R rated Hulk movie when lol

Wolverine v Hulk :thud:

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

It was never my intention to sway your feelings on this film.. That would be impossible and I don't blame you.

I only keep talking about it because peeps keep poking me with the stick. :lol

Obviously film failed to deliver on the one piece that was most important to me so the rest of the film for now is tainted (For Now) I guess just as A1 is tainted for you.. I still maintain that that is no comparison when it comes to how these characters were treated :lol but I get what you are trying to say.

If you are comparing Fury and Bucky to the Hulk in that they are characters that you don't really care about how they were handled then you are fine as long as Cap is handled well then Yep.. I get why you feel that way about Hulk.

Trying to compare Fury and Bucky's portrayals for you to Hulk portrayal for me is not in the same ball park. I am not exactly sure which point you were making. :lol :lol

But again there is no way that the way the Hulk was done that your enjoyment of the film would be ruined.

Only way that would be effected is if they completely got Caps character wrong and or gave him little to do in the Ultimate Avengers film..

You know as well as I that we would both be on the other side of the fence if roles for the characters were reversed. :)

But that is fine. Like I said I would never dream of trying to sway your opinion on the film...

I am so Happy that you get 6 great Cap movies (7 if you like AOU or 6 if you don't want to count A1) and I get to find happiness in TIH and A1 from 8 and 10 years ago.

Just take it Khev.. Take it all.

Noooo, it's too much, too muchhhhhhh! :lol

I guess I'm just trying to see if I can help you enjoy the movie. Probably a lost cause though this soon after your initial disappointment. Cap's portrayal in A1 did kind of ruin that movie for me for a while. I hated the initial behind the scenes images, then got caught up in the fun of the movie and initially really enjoyed it, convincing myself that it was still awesome seeing the first ever superhero team-up movie from characters introduced in other films, but then when TWS came out I turned my back on A1 for good, lol. Until revisiting it again a year or so ago I found that the stuff I hated were just minor things that made me shake my head but that didn't ruin it.

But yeah, 7 enjoyable Cap movies (6 of them great as you say) and fun cameos in TDW, SMH, and CM. Totally surreal.

I did find it interesting that for all of Cap's efforts with Mjolnir and the lightning he still couldn't generate a single drop of Thanos' blood as IM had done in IW.

Buzz Lightyear might say that Cap "wasn't getting the best of Thanos he was simply surviving--with style." lol

Wouldn't be allowed to happen....Captain Marvel would intervene and beat both of them :chase

I found her to be much more likable the second time around knowing from the get go that she wasn't going to steal the show.

And the way she said "Hi Peter Parker..." :love

Okay fine you can hate my race and gender as long as you promise to talk like that, lol.

Her delivery of that line has proven popular, I've seen a few people comment on it. I didn't dislike it :lol

Her little smirk would be enough to stop them.

:lol :lol :lol

All right she's all yours, lol. :D

On another note the writers just said that when Cap went back in time with the stones he had to inject the Ether back into Jane Foster. I never thought of that, there's a side story that is definitely begging to be shown, lol.

Also they said that in their minds Steve kind of questioned whether it would be right to stay on the same path after fighting his past self. He began to see himself as hyper intense in a way that wasn't necessarily 100% healthy (their words.) They saw Tony as finally becoming a complete person when he lost his life and Steve becoming a complete person when he finally got a life.

They still could have explained away the injury with Hulks healing factor.. Or that there was no injury due to Gamma Radiation..

Oh well. Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda.. :(

I am fairly confident that with time I will like the film much more.. I will just never love it.. Not like you, jye and the others.

Even if I love everything else about the film that I didn't love the first time it will always have a Huge hulk shaped hole in it for me.

It is what it is.
