Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I just lost all interest in this thread lol. Boring people just wanna talk crap. I'm going on 40 and I can still escape reality by watching a movie.
Sounds like you need to take a trip to Vormir guys.

I'm talking crap? This from the guy I never heard of before, who also took Jye's sarcastic comment seriously.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I'd like to see how many directors could pull off a feat like a 22 part story, keep it coherent, and for the most part, very good.

He'd probably sell off his mother for a chance to work on one of those films.

:exactly: :lecture :exactly:

Marvel spends 250-300 million to make a single freaking movie, a product, and lets me see it once for a measly $20 and own it for a measly $30 if I want yes measly when compared to what it cost to make.

Yeah what a money grab they really ripped me off there didn’t they.

I wish Ferrari followed the same business model lol

I'm not saying Endgame will be the best film of 2019, but to dismiss it on the grounds that it was created to make money is asinine.

No studio puts out a film to intentionally lose money.

Not a single Oscar winning film was made by a studio that just threw money at somebody and said, "do whatever you want, just don't make a profit. All we care about is pleasing that ********* Director"

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

As if throwing a bunch of superheroes together on film is some guaranteed form of earning cash. Because if it is WB clearly didn't get the memo, lol.

My favorite part of JL bombing is that it instantly shut the mouths of everyone claiming that Marvel just went after the easy money. What they've accomplished, across so many films and so many years, is absolutely insane.

Even the throughly enjoyable Godzilla KOM is proof of that.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

It definitely wasn't Cameron. He'll never fault a movie for earning a profit. Besides he's too nerdy, when he criticizes superhero films it's always because of the physics and things like his complaint that everyone just propelled themselves underwater via apparent telepathy in Aquaman, lol.

Nail on head perfectly said.

David Fincher. He's cranky.

I was thinking Snyder to be honest lol

All over the media , I’m reading about the consensus they want EG to beat Avatar for the record badly

For me it’s not about hating Cameron I love Cameron he’s given us some great movies but Avatar isn’t one of them therefore it’s more about giving that honor to the franchise that has truly earned it and EG is a perfect movie to have carry that torch.

11 years worth of grueling work on Marvel’s part just for me to be entertained.

Well deserved to take the title away from Avatar.

I hope it was Snyder, because I like Fincher (even though its the type of thing he says all the time)

Didn’t Fincher trash Lucas hard once in public lol

They say one of the worst temperaments of male actors in the business makes Bale look like a sweet heart lol

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Oh geez I would never vote for it either lmao or even something like Spider-Man 2 which is miles ahead of this. Doesn’t mean it’s bad but come on get a grip

If Infinity War didn't get a nomination then this film in no way should..

Not that IW should have go a nomination.

BP didn't deserve a nom either.

IMO the only comic film that has deserved a best pic Nom is The Dark Knight. Its still a cut above in terms of quality IMO.
