Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

It's not a rerelease though. 3 theaters are still showing it where I live with at least 3 to 4 showings each. Only on one screen now but still original release. Disney owns Avatar now though so they will win either way. I enjoyed Endgame but I was never worried about box office. I want these movies to be successful so we keep getting more of them.

I had a feeling they'd do something like this, figured it would be more along the lines of just a marketing push before spiderman came out. Kind of along the lines of, "don't see spiderman until you've seen Endgame", but this will get more butts in seats

They were supposedly going to do this for Avengers 1 but it never happened.

Well there it is lol

This is a first in the MCU is it not?

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

All signs are pointing towards a very lengthy Michael Pena scene of him telling the story of the entire MCU in his AntMan style voice over with EVERY character being included! Ok that might not be Cap and Red Skull levels of must see but that will still be pretty awesome to see play out.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Maybe it's Sam awkwardly explaining to Sharon (Emily Van Camp) that Steve's an old man now because he dumped her to go back in time to bone her great aunt. The real reason Steve gave him the shield. :lol

I really hope that ends up on the disc release, as I doubt I'm going to the theater for this again.

It will probably be on YT opening night lol

This plan of theirs is going to fail they might make 10 million but the 34 million they need to beat Avatar ain't going to happen.

Now had they said it was a real extended cut with 15-20 minutes of additional footage altering the narrative cut back into the main body of the movie then yes I could see a 40 million box office.

Oh well if it's the rumored scene that I posted it should still be a blast to watch I would sit thru EG again just for that plus the rumored Stan Lee short and whatever the deleted scene will be.

According to Feige they approach Keanu for almost every movie!

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

New run time listed.

188 min.

Extra footage is confirmed to be 7 minutes but that's not including the SL tribute (also confirmed).

Ok so the scene is 7 minutes but is that the deleted scene and does that include the surprise element?

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

It'll be weird to see a deleted scene after the credits in a movie theater since that type of thing has always been a special feature for a home release unless it's seamlessly integrated into the movie as an official EE. Still it'd be interesting to see Stark and his older daughter or the original Thanos battle on Vormir on the big screen.

Padding the box office with blu-ray special features will be pretty cheap if they go that route though, lol.

:lol :lol :lol

Can't wait for the DP rerelease with extra footage of JLaw crying in the makeup chair and Storm actress angry that people only know her as angry Storm actress.
