Oh ok. So by a gif in a gif, are you referring to having multiple animations happen in the same image, like say animated film stills in the background and moving text in the foreground?

I just dont know how to incorporate say a movie scene gif into a sig that you design etc

Basically, you need to find a video source where you can click through frame by frame and capture the images, then paste each one on a separate layer in Photoshop, then bring that file over to ImageReady to do the animation. Those are the programs I use and how I go about it. Quicktime is a good vidoe player that allows you to use arrow keys to go through a clip one frame at a time. At most, you'll get maybe 20 frames at certain images dimensions before you exceed the allowed file size.

You would need to open that gif file in ImageReady and it should show you the animation structure, then you add your changes on top of it. I wish I could articulate it better but without sitting at a computer it's hard to explain, plus years of practice and college training make a difference too.

See.....I am going the other route, I love the look of the unmasked Predator but in about 97% of the film he wore it even when it was battle damaged with the cracked lenses etc so I'm keeping my Wolf masked.

They could release one or two of the Predators we saw on the ship...it'd be easy and cheap for them, basically re-using parts from AVP. There's also a chance there were more Predators shown but those scenes could've been cut from the movie.

Could also be Battle-Damaged Wolf (with roaring mandibles) and Battle-Damaged PredAlien...with uhhmm...I dunno......blood on him?

They could also do "Birth of the PredAlien" Scar Predator too...much like they had with the Snap-Kit version.

I was just rifling out what other possible figures HT could do with the AvP:R license. There's really not that much unless you consider the human characters (but who really will buy those figures?) and Predators that showed up for a few seconds.

They milked it with AVP with the two Ancient Predator Elders and the Scar Predator variants. And now again with the Predator 2 Battle Damaged... oh yeah they'll definitely milk these licenses and re-use the molds to get their money's worth.

Other than what you mentioned there is really nothing they can release. I doubt they would do those Predators though, they had the same amount of screen time than the Ancients etc but their role wasnt as pivotal as the Ancients. Pretty much cannon fodder to show the audience how badass they PA was

Well just sourced an AVP-R Wolf bio mask, thought it would look ideal in the centre of my Predators, after all the centre piece for my marines is the Power Loader and for my Aliens I will have to wait for Queenie

Looked at a few masks, came across versions for the Elder and Celtic in my search but settled for this one in the end.

I don't like the "milking" tactic either, but I guess if they hadn't made all the AvP dudes and sold them as well as they did, they might not have taken a chance and made that bad-ass P2 Elder! The AvP Ancients were basically sort of an afterthought, the bio-mask being the only difference between them. To me that was the most blatant case of "milking". The BD Scar was probably intended mainly for the Hong Kong fan boys originally, so I don't know if it quite qualifies as milking or not. That said, I don't condemn Hot Toys for getting what they could out of the molds their first time around. I figure it greased the wheels for the even better figures they've released since then.

How much is left for them to milk from the P2 license, unless they try to make some of the Lost Hunters? I caved and ordered the Sideshow BD P2, only 'cause I want the medkit and other accessories (which they could have included with the first figure if they'd wanted to). That's enough for me.

I've got my Wolf and Predalien coming, and that's all I need from that movie. The only other Predator I'd want after that is the original, which will hopefully be announced some time next year. There's talk of making Dutch and some of his team, but who knows if that will really happen or not.

That is an awful lot of expensive plastic on the way! Probably a good time to start being more selective so we can save money for all those other goodies...
