Somebody who remembers this? Pretty much the same idea!

I always much preferred this one:

I don't want to butt my nose in here, but honestly the Gandalf reminds me most of an AOME figure; if you can remember those.
Ya know what it is?

The 'rog is so well done, detailed and realistic (- well, as realistic as fictitional beast made of shadow and flame can be...) and Gandalf is designed to look like a miniature GG Animaquette.

The two styles don't go well together, IMO (of course!).

The faux bronze version is MUCH better looking. That being said thats one Balrog piece I can live without honestly especially in the all color form.

This piece though (GTG vs Balrog) despite the naysayers is pretty freaking cool. I'm quite pleased to have it on order and think SS did a pretty damn good job pulling it all off.

watched the movie last night, actually along with the kids we watched all three extended versions yesterday, with breaks between switching discs and eating, we started at about 10 in the morning and finally finished at 2 am. lol
anyways i also have this on order, as i thought it would look great along side my original balrog. though when i watched the movie last night i did not see any sort of whip attached to gandolf, other than when he was originally pulled off of the bridge edge. so other than that small detail, i will still get my statue coming, since i still love the detail of the falling balrog.

I have to agree with The Josh. I think this dio will be amazing especially in person. I can't wait for the release of this one also!! :monkey5

I would love to order this Diorama but being in New Zealand means I have to pay for it in US$ (At the moment the exchange rate for Importing into NZ is ^^^^), then ontop of that there are shipping costs and handling taxes when it reaches NZ so all up would probably cost me about $650NZ about $500US :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2

i hear ya sawyer, at least for now the cdn & us dollar are pretty close. if it ever goes back to 40%, i thinks it will put a seriuos crunk on my collecting.

just a thought, but since the us dollar is so weak compared to other currencies right now. this could possibly, or at least be somewhat responsible for the higher prices for some items.

i know if own cdn dollar was were is was 4-5 years ago, alot of people i know would probably not be buying as much as they are now. if at all

It really does blow our week Dollar at the mo :monkey4
Go back 2 months and one NZ$ would buy 80c US ahhhh back when I was so young :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2

sucks for everyone that don't live in california, i'm only 2 hours away from SCC. That would be bad ass if they had a pick up plan i would run down and pick up my stuff. I hate that i have to pay $20-30 dollars in shipping for this piece.
