I voted for Bane, he actually accomplished more goals then Loki did in their respective movies.

However, if they left Loki a God like he was always supposed to be in the comics and not an alien then actually let him mop the floor with some of the Avengers, I would've gone the other way.

they are just jokes. Not to be taken so seriously. They are no different than the jokes Red Letter media makes of movies I like them.

By the way, RLM doesn't like them much either. And they were on one of them. They went in with good intentions. Picking on Transformers, Avatar, and that crap. But once they started going after well respected films? No. **** that. You go after films that deserve it. Not Jurassic Park.

And Jay mentioned it on the forum. He feels like RLM is accidentally responsable because of the Prometheus video. Which was made to make fun of nitpickers.

The thing is, they're not being cynical critics. They're just doing what "sells" right now. I realize we've contributed to this, but in our case it was pretty much accidental. I didn't know making bite-size plothole videos was a thing when we did the Prometheus one. Heck, maybe it wasn't at that time.

You're overreacting. Nobody thinks Jurassic Park is garbage after watching that video. Nobody sees it in a different light, and it's still respectable. I doubt the people that put it together think that either. It's not like these films are people or have feelings that can get hurt from parodies.

I didn't even know there was one for Jurassic Park until you mentioned it, I checked it out and loled. Doesn't ruin my love for Jurassic Park in the slightest either. Some of the things they mentioned were spot on and funny. I love the little character names at the end. There's some clever stuff in there. I mean what, you think they're disrespecting it or something? Are certain films above satire? I don't get it.


They also don't pick the movie, the viewers do with their comments. Their vids are entertaining, made for entertainment. Whether a movie "deserves it" or not.



As for Red Letter Media, they've done the same **** for multiple films. Hell, they brutally tore into the Phantom Menace and went well beyond cynicism and critiquing. I'd say their little shtick has gotten old as well. But hey, it's entertaining and "it sells". Who cares?

Wall of text for something that isn't going to work for me.

When people pander to people who don't understand films, then I have nothing but contempt for them.

And it's funny you say their shtcick got old, considering the last Plinkett video was disliked for NOT hating on Titanic. But the opposite. A break down as to why the film both works, and doesn't.

And I don't nitpick. Shoop's just mad at me because I hated a film he liked.
