Idris elba would definitely make a much much better wolverine than Hugh Jackman as well. he would be able to bring the character more closely to the comics. and bring the rage better.

Problem is thought, I don't know if he's a better actor that Hugh, who also looks nothing like comic book Wolverine. Guess what, I'll Idris Elba over most of the actor's people were considering for the role like ****ing Zach Effron :lol

Black Wolverine > Twink Wolverine any day bruh

Well because of everything I stated in my posts. And its not evolution its hypocrisy and an insult to the race assuming the role, saying were arent creative enough.

I don't think changing a character's race is evolving in anyway, but hiring a better actor is a plus, if he just happens to be black or any race I don't care.

There's barely any creativity in Hollywood these days anyway and 90% of these superheroes haven't hit the big screen yet or been done justice, so obviously Hollywood isn't going to be making new superhero movies yet when they have tons of source material they can directly adapt currently. I wouldn't just want new black characters, I just want new characters. I'll take an original superhero property over another Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Wolverine film anyday.

Yeah I'm done.

That was autocorrect but c'mon you're really telling me you'd prefer Eisenberg over Denzel for Lex? The fact that's all you took from that post proves my point :lol

But...but...he's black

It just can't work. Eisenberg wins by default I guess.

Re: Batgirl - Written, Directed and Produced by Joss Whedon

Hollywood's diversity isn't real "diversity". Are the movies still set in the US? Do they still feature American protagonists saving the world (black, white, what-the-****-ever, are they still American citizens)? Do they portray the US as the center of the world? Do they tackle all these issues thrugh American lens? Do they ignore the rest of the world?

The answer to all these questions is a resounding yes. As long this keeps happening, making Batman black isn't championing for diversity. It's the same old crap, but they're riding the social media push "diversity". If they cared, they'd take their white characters, relocate them across the world, stop making the US the centre of the world, etc, etc. But they won't do that, so we're left with them taking white characters, turning them black and then saying "woo boy, look how progressive we are", all the while ignoring the actual black characters.

TL;DR: Hollywood/Comic Diversity is nothing more than a fake push, as it's still US-Centric and doesn't change jack-**** besides the character's colour.

Huh?

Denzel was being considered for Lex in BvS, they ended up going with Eisenberg, I took a real scenario and asked Gasper which would he prefer. I didn't just pull this out of my ass :lol

I also think Dave Chapelle would have given about the same performance as Eisenberg in BvS :lol

Olga Kurylenko auditioned for wonder woman, a much better fit for the character, they still went with the lesser choice

Zack Snyder miscast the crap out of this movie, the fact that the only choices for lex luthor were denzel or Eisenberg shows you how little they cared for the casting. denzel could have worked but he wouldnt be my first choice, nor my second.

daredevil tv show kingpin is much better than daredevil movie kingpin... both good actors, tv version is better, fits better :dunno

I said those were the only choices? I'm speaking specifically about Lex LuthOR's casting. You're reaching horribly right now :lol

I remember Joaquin was originally the front runner, he's on of my favorite actors working today, but I think Denzel is still a better choice than him for Lex.

Why are you becoming so defensive? I'm not saying Black actors are more talented than white actors. I'm saying when the opportunity presents itself, I think studios should always go after the more talented actor that suits their vision. Denzel for Lex would have been fine and he's talented enough and respected enough that I bet fans wouldn't have been upset at that casting like they were for Eisenberg.

Hell, midget white Trask > Bill Duke Trask neither resembles the comic book character :lol

I will say this, FoX-Men turned Professor X into an old British man and nobody cared. I wonder why :lol

That's because in the eyes of the US-based Social Media, diversity exists only where colour is concerned. In the rest of the world, people judge more based on ethnicity, rather than colour. Which makes sense, considering each ethnicity has its own culture, customs, POVs, etc, etc. Lumping all "white pople" into one basket, all the "black people" into another, all the "latinos" into another, and all the "asians" into another, would be deemed in rather poor taste over here. As if you're ignoring the differences of each society based only on the colour of their skin...

would denzel make a better wolverine than Hugh? i mean, after all denzel IS a better actor than hugh, so is Idris.

Go back to my first post where I said, if it's INSPIRED casting then I have no problem with it.

The reaching is real :lol

Oh yea I agree, and Patrick Stewart as Professor X is an example of that.
