Is it really that hard to get a sense of how big it is? :huh Measure out 39" x 16" on the floor, mark it with tape and you won't have to imagine the size anymore, you'll be looking right at a boxed outline of it.

I saw the Hot Toys booth at the Tokyo Toy Show today and I was really hoping to finally see this thing in person and get an idea of just how BIG it is.

But no....it was not there. Only the Tumbler on display.

But a rep told me it would be out this month! So maybe this is really it guys!!

He also said Batman Returns was STILL gonna happen and he specifcally said Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman and the Penguin.....so the dream isn't dead yet!!

You sir, won the internets! Catwoman and Penguin FTW!!

Can't wait to have penguin and Catwoman displayed next to Keaton Bats.

I only owe $57 on this before shipping. Can't wait.

I paid that order in full ever since it was announced what is scary to me is this batmobile and this months order along with it's shipping...

Well we all know Hot Toys doesn't exactly have a wonderful track record of releasing stuff on time. But the promotional booklet with all their 2013 products (and some 2014) they gave away at Tokyo Toy Show listed the Batmobile's release date as June 2013.

Amazon Japan still says it's shipping next Monday. July 1st.

But I remain skeptical.....if it was really shipping next week, SURELY we'd have seen a crap load of pics from Hong Kong by now, no??

Maybe by the middle of this week, for some reason I saw June 26th, even then we should see facebook photos of this bad boy either way...

I just don't understand. Why doesn't HT tell us when its coming out? Why do we have to be surprised by pics? I mean by the time it's ready to be released, surely they know at least a week ahead of time that "Hey it's ready." Can't we just get a heads up?

Yeah, it can be infuriating at times. It's like those stupid teasers... just show us the damn toys already!

Eh, anyway, I still got put my order down for this.

Sorry to burst the bubble but it seems like the batmobile is not ready anytime soon.
I preordered mine on Amiami.com and they've moved the expected ship date to end of July within the last few days. It was originally listed as end of June.

You're not bursting any. SSC has the sched moved to July for a while now, but it's possible to be moved again. We know that SSC's ETA announcement WHEN ACCURATE tells when North America and the rest of the world gets their figures, save for the likes of Hong Kong and other neighbor Asian countries that get it at least a month earlier. That being the case, if it really was meant to be shipped out by end of July, there should be pictures of this from HK-based sellers and toy photographers by now.

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

This stuff pisses me off, Hot toys has got to be worst at delaying items, nothing comes on time or it's delayed. How hard can it be? Have toys by X date and ship.

It's like my friend in Hong Kong tells me, Hot Toys would call him when the order is ready and even then they can deny his order if need be with proof of receipt...

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

I think it's not just HT. Delays have already become a plague that hit most manufacturers, even the "smaller" ones. HT however love biting more than what they can chew, so I hope they just keep things realistic, ETA's included. Personally, I don't mind the extra wait as long as the quality would not suffer. SSC's given in to pressure and tried to respond to the ever-growing demand of people longing for new Joes and Star Wars figures who felt like it's been a while since the last was released. In so doing they came out with a lackluster Obi Wan with a headsulpt and QC-ridden light-up saber that's not worth its almost HT-level price, plus half-baked protos of Cobra Commander and Vader with inconsistent costumes, bad tailoring, confusing specs details, etc. HT's on-time releases this year -- Snake-Eyes and Barney Ross 2, benefited from the delay of GI Joe the movie and Barney's specific base body and some gears already existing.

Also like I said before on this thread -- delayed as it is, I'm glad HT announced this earlier. If HT decided to announce this when it's almost ready for release, perhaps a year later than it originally did, I don't think this mammoth would still be less than $700.

This hobby,as well as enjoyment of the figures themselves, teaches a person patience. And that can only ever be a good thing.
