Well I have some more positive reports on the scratch situation.

My buddy owns a local shop and I brought the whole QC situation to his attention (since he's not really on the forums). He told me to come down and help him inspect his stock (8 pieces) since I knew what to look for.

We looked over 6 out of the 8 that he has and all six pieces are scratch free  (in addition to the one that I bought from him; so thus far he's 7 for 7 with 2 more to check).

He thinks it's because he had them delivered by DHL and they split the load onto two pallets and shrink wrapped the whole ball of wax. Maybe there was less or no movement on the inside because of this and the ones that are being shipped around individually by other etailers are being handled with less care.

Who knows, but he's a lucky SOB and so am I :lol

So, will he be selling these? :naughty

Unfortunately no. He didn't want to be bothered shipping them because he had headaches with the Tumbler and this is even more to worry about. His whole stock is all for us local customers who PO'd with him and left deposits, and are picking up.

Love the fam!!! :clap

So glad I ordered from BBTS. They're willing to inspect these before sending them out.

Have to use bright light to check if you really and a perfectly scratch free car which is think hard to find, the paint so smooth that is it more prompt to small hairline cut

Hey all, for those that have this, does yours have like a body crease near the rear wings? Just before the slits start on the wings? I've seen it on other people's and mine has it, just want to be sure it's designed like that.

Hey, Darth. I'm trying to look at the area you mentioned. When you say the beginning of the slit on the wings, are you referring to the area close to the porthole? And what type of body crease? A picture would be great. I am looking at the back area of mine around the wings and I don't see any body crease or any abnormalities.

I'm looking at other pics and see it on other people's. I think it's a design flaw, check it out. Not my pics, look at the top right wing, the diagonal line or difference in lighting.

If anybody is trying to find a fix for these scratches. I suggest you test your theories on the disposable clip-ons from the bottom of the car. They seem to be the same type of plastic but with a different finish.

If tht is not a difference in lighting it definitely looks like a flaw. Again i may be wrong as i dont have this in hand.

You can see throughout the support horizontal bar across that it looks like it leads to the winged part too. Again not my pic

Darth - I see what you are referring to now, actually I can feel it as I run my hand on the surface. There is a slight shift of an angle on the wing which is creating that shift on the light. I have it on both sides, too.

No it's not lighting, it has to be a design flaw so that way the wings have some support, I understand why it's there just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one, which I don't think I am.

Nice, thanks man, just making sure I wasn't loosing my mind.

I haven't had a chance to check the electronics yet...does it come with batteries installed?

Gorgeous macro pics!!!!!

Now if I were to order it now what place would you suggest is best? I was leaning towards SSC since most get it from them anyway and I can return for full refund if it comes to that.
