I've seen knock-offs of the car with silver rims but to my recollection they were always black glossy steel in both films, like yours. Right?

I remember some of the publicity shots and posters having silver though...

Just got word from my vendor. SSC does not have any replacements and they will provide my vendor with a $50 credit to pass down to me. I got a great price on it to begin with, but I feel like I would be settling (which I would obviously be doing).

When do you think they'll release V2?

Who was your vendor? And why wouldn't they get the $65 or $70 Sideshow is offering?

Just curious....how is everyone's canopy fitting on the chassis? Mine seems to be a little off....it if sits flush on the side, the top seam has a bit of a gap on one side. If I line it up on the top seam, then one side of the canopy doesnt want to sit flush.

It's not a big deal but I wanted to hear feedback from other owners.

Thanks!

I'm waiting for BBTS to respond to my email. I was very specific in the details of how the Cocoon Shield has foam pads under them, and some are reporting the foam pads came un glued from the shield or some are reporting the pads are missing so the Shield just scratches the Batmobile body itself. I will report back as soon as I hear from them.

HT didn't put enough foam under the shield (as shown by the red box in the pic), specially the area where the canopy is. Maybe BBTS could place a thin foam sheet over the canopy to protect it once they find unscratched units to ship. Anyway, I'm also thinking about the BBTS option. I'll wait for your feedback. Thanks.

No response yet....Im sure they will respond by tomorrow. I don't know whether they will honor this but I asked for an actual QC tech that will be doing the inspections to reply to my email. I have never had a problem with BBTS so in my opinion can be trusted. We shall see.... I promise to report back as soon as I receive a response from them....

I'm glad to hear about BBTS checking these for defects before shipping out. This is the reason why I spend a small fortune with them every year.

I was carefull with mine yesterday. After I inspected it at CornerStore, I asked for several plastic bags and layered them on top of the batmobile. Rather be over cautious than sorry. I hve a nice 1/4 in of cushion!!

BBTS offer me a Store Credit of $125.00. I told them NO I want to send this back because its pretty bad.

That's pretty generous of BBTS. Their shipping is $80 isn't it? AND they offer $125? That's way better than Sideshow.

The sideshow returns coordinator I spoke with was very nice and actually offered me a little more for the partial credit, but it wasn't anywhere near $125.

If I had simple scratches and bought from BBTS, I think I'd take that. That's very good on BBTS' part.

Maybe because mines was really bad? :dunno

Looks nice.

With the natural lighting your car looks like the hood swoops down more than how it really is.

Thats because most were close up. Those shots show it further away so you get to see the proper scale. Plus it makes me think of the $2k model? Cinemaquette.

Looks more like anodised or a faint coppery silver? or it's a mix of coppery silver with inky black... it's definitely not full black because look the way how there is a speckle coming through.
