So I opened mine. Its beautiful! But I do have the same scratch by the passenger side window. I think I can live with it. Maybe. I need to think about it.

Really sorry to hear that man.

Thanks Sallah. On the one hand, I have been waiting for this car my whole life. Its unbelievable! I can't believe I have one. But the cost, and the fact I will have to deal somsomething like scratches. Is a bummer. I'm going to sleep on my decision. I'll pulk it out again and take another look in the morning to see how I feel.
I found a big one
And this looks like is been opened.
Anyone get reply back from BBTS about them opening the cars and checking for damage? I sent them a message days ago to get back to me and I have not heard anything yet.
I got mine yesterday. 100% perfect condition. Really feeling for those who got a damaged one. I was nervous as hell opening mine up... so excited to finally get this after such a long wait... but wondering what problems I might find inside the package.
Looks great in its new home - a built-in-the-wall display that I started working on as soon as this was announced a couple of years ago.
An absolute jaw dropping addition to the collection.

Lovely display my friend, in that pic you'd think it was 1/18 scale. Cant imagine how cool this diorama looks up close! Great job!
That is one huge scrape! As i mentioned in the damage thread, those of you who are thinking these marks wre done by the armour shield are wrong. After consulting with a few Sideshow reps it seems to be aggreed that these marks are occurring from the Hot Toy factories where the vehicle is turned upside down to secure the bolts to the underside. It is most likely that the vehicle is being held in place by some vice like contraption whilst this process is taking part, hence why all the marks/scratches are so consistent in terms of appearance and location...
Sideshow have confirmed that the new batch of Batmobiles will be arriving next week and that the appropriate actions have been taken to hopefully prevent these marks from happening again in the future. My replacement will be amongst those arriving with the new batch so fingers crossed it arrives in A1 condition
Good to hear that Hot Toys is fixing the problem on future runs. Now they just need to make it right with current owners of the damaged ones.
