Maybe put a mark on the outer brown box that way you guys know if its new or if its a refurbished one.

This sucks, even though i dont plan to buy this. I hope HT take note when doing something this big in the future. I still havent opened my camo tumbler yet, but i dont think theres any problem with those.

Because of this issue I opening my Camo but because is weathered and in Camo paint so I don't really what I should look for,.. Ha

If I paid $2000 for this like toynami wanted for theirs I would be upset by a scratch but for the $759.00 I paid I feel I got more than my monies worth. I hope others will not let this opinnions of A few influence there ordering one . I have no stake in this one way or the other but If you are a fan of the 1989 Batmobile you can not go wrong getting one of these. PLease view all the great post of happy people on You tube opening theirs.........

You must work for Sideshow or something. You just registered you account to defend this and tell people that their complaints are petty and naive. Wow. You must feel like you are getting the K-Mart blue light special Batmobile at a real bargain for $759. I don't care if this is the Toynami $2K Batmobile or the Kenner $20 Batmobile. If I am paying my hard earned cash for something it better not be damaged. Period.

Was all set to pay $700 all in for this and then the store wanted to charge me tax, missing the point of all in, at which point I said I would order it from sideshow and get the points since his store doesn't off any incentive like that. With tax I would have only saved $20.

just had mine delivered. the mailer box definitely looks like it has been thoroughly 'shipped'. im waiting for the kids to hit the hay before i check mine over.

i have no plans to display this yet as i have nowhere big enough to display it.

it has been said many times over but until you actually see it, man this box is huge.

I would open it anyway. I always open my Hot Toys items within the first week of receiving them. These things are more like models than toys in some cases and the parts & pieces are delicate and fragile. In many cases almost impossible to replace.

GET THAT THING OPENED!!!!

Interesting. So because Hot Toys was nice enough to make this item we all paid $600+ for, we shouldn't question widespread QC issues? We all just need to ignore the glaring scratches and glue smudges and feel fine with our purchase. Got it.

Hey... the next time a fast food joint gets you order wrong, just eat it happily and don't complain. They made it for you after all, and it is a fraction of the cost of the Batmobile, so you definitely have no grounds to complain. :)

Even if something is broken, there's not much I can do since HT most prolly won't do jack****. :panic:

Yeah, I'll open em this week. :impatient:

Customer: "Shut up and take my money!"

Hot Toys: "We took your money now shut up and be happy you got a damaged one!"

:slap

I want this but no space for it.....plus not displaying her w/o a huge acyrlic display case. So I will sit back and admire all the beautiful pics only.

I just registered my account because I thought this item was getting a bad rap for a petty issue. The 89 is a focal piece in my collection and it will be in anyone that has or is going to get it.

Just got a response from BBTS, they are waiting to see what SS is doing as far as returns. Since BBTS raised the price on these, I'm going to PO the amount that I am sending back and that they honor the original price I paid for them. I'm also going to ask that they ask SS to open them up to inspect them and I will send them an email stating that they can open to inspect.
I went through this fiasco with the Transformers Masterpiece Black Rodimus. I sent so many back that they said not to order anymore cause they all had QC problems:peace

I think a lot of people are changing there minds about ordering just because a few people here are upset by a scratch. This thing has got to be seen to be appreciated. Sorry not trying to sound like an *** but I waited a year and I think it was well worth the wait scratches and all.

When you bought a new car out of the showroom was scratches included? because the last I recall they have to do a waxing procedure before you take it away as the whole bodywork is pristine.

How great does that sound? it's ok, we're selling defective goods. No worries. Yes, it's not Sideshows fault for this happening but they seem to be standing by it. Win for Hot Toys.

Mine arrived safe and sound and in it;s final resting place, just need more time to also unpack the matching bat and joker

Luckily I went to toys2 at the end of the day. He closed shop early to allow us to inspect the Batmobile. Hardly had space to lay it out with 3 more piles of Batmobiles :p Don;t expect to be able to inspect it if the place has ppl as you will effectively lock them in LOL
