I want to flex another one, but that $98 shipping charge when im an hour away is tough to eat.

Weird! I just called SS to get a shipping quote to my location which is pretty far North and they said $65. I am still wondering what the custom charges will be like. Any fellow Canadian who have ordered from sideshow remember what they were charged?

"NOTE - We must advise you that in order to prevent the item from rolling back and forth during transit to you Hot Toys inserted a red rod, or manual brake, into the inside wheel wells on the front and back tires. See Image 4 above for more information.

These brake rods are not a working part of your item and should be removed BEFORE attempting to move or roll your Batmobile. Failure to remove these rods may result in damage to your item."

From BBTS, lol, why does this read like someone did this and actually broke it or sent it back for that reason lol

Sorry to hear about another issue like this. Send it back and order from SS they seem to have this issue sorted out now that they add the foam or plastic bag in between the car and shield.

Problem is that is going to cost me ~$100 more difference from what I got it from BBTS for and what I will pay if I get a SS one. It will depend on what they knock off for the damage and if there is any more damage when I look at it again.

BBTS is fantastic when it come to customer support. i will be purchasing many collectibles through them. i received my store credit today for some minor scratches.

Greedy bastards.

I wonder exactly how much people complaining about the "greedy" price of the BBTS damaged Batmobiles want them to cost? How much more of a hit to their profits do you want BBTS to take for a problem that they didn't cause?

It's not that they're being "greedy", it's called "running a business". If BBTS bought a bunch of these at a wholesale price from SS (who got them from the manufacturer HT), and now they mark-down the cost because of the damage, they are LOSING MONEY. Is it "greedy" when a consumer wants to avoid losing money for something that isn't their fault? Then how is it greedy when BBTS does the same thing?

Once they bought and paid for their wholesale inventory, and then they mark-down their selling price for the damage, their potential profit margin shrinks. You think Hot Toys is reimbursing them for "reduced potential profits"?

I agree with this post 100%. Some people are ignorant on how a shop runs its business. Much less the shop offering us and others the opportunity to buy these nice collectibles.

Temporary setup for my Batmobile, have it on top of a drawer, want to try to get a custom base built so I can display the Batmobile at an angle like this.

I haven't been following this thread and I just wanted to know
What is SS doing about the damaged Batmobiles? are they sending out replacements/partial refunds?

With the quality of your displays I'm looking forward to this !

Thanks so much for the kind words Sean :1-1: really appreciate it. It's been in the making for the last month and a bit but i finally picked it up today and it looks great! Made for me by a close friend who is well renowned in the world of collectors, especially from his YouTube video reviews, he has totally created something which is so simple in design yet so relevant to the 1989 movie and compliments the 1/6 Batmobile perfectly which a collectible of this standard deserves...should have some pics up on my thread in the next day or two so stay tuned....

Until then, here's a quick 2 minute silent movie of how my Batmobile currently stands...enjoy :hi5:

I'm wondering why they couldn't send the batmobiles back to HT for credit? HT should have some blame on this, not right for vendors to be left holding the bag.

Has anyone looked under the headlights to see why one side is much brighter than the other one? I'm thinking about trying to fix that just wondering if anyone has looked yet.
