Best game I've played in a long time.

note to self: never order a new release game from amazon again. its almost 3:30 and still not game. i could've went to any store and picked it up this morning and been playing this entire time.

I ordered 3 games so far from Gamestop, stuff came 2-3 hours BEFORE UPS. Was trashed on Sept 21, Sept 22 halo was on my doorstep 8am and I was still hungover.

Try them next time, Amazon seems like the slowest shipping ever.

In class now, game is sitting on top of my Xbox.
What do you guys think so far for Batman, I wont be home till 10... worth booting up?

i don't recall batman ever killing anyone in the comics. as awesome as this game will be i think ultimate alliance 2 will take game of the year. MP co-op with friends > SP regardless.

SP can get boring real fast, you're right. Lets see how this one does...one could always do worse than being bored while being Batman...

Batman is no doubt cool and the game is receiving excellent reviews but many of the reviews were hoping that players wouldn't have to remain in the Detective mode for such long periods of time but unfortunately that is the case it seems.

That is the great thing about the game, you can choose how much to use the Detective mode. If you want to challenge yourself, you can use it sparingly to look around the environments. It isn't forced upon you to use it all the time.

The reviews just say that the detective mode is so useful there is no reason not to use it all the time.

That Scarecrow bit was so awesome. The atmosphere in this game is the best I've seen since Bioshock.

Make sure you get the 2 Riddler Trophies. 400 points. Batarang 5 chattering teeth. 250 points. The rest is up to you. But no, I wouldn't recommend stringing combos with guys armed with machine guns. It works if there are two left, staying close together but they often manage to hit you with bullets.

I just got 1750 with the two Riddler Trophies and a 13 hit combo. Didn't realise about the chattering teeth at first either.

Alright I'm outta this thread before I see any spoilers. I'll come back when the PC version is out.

25-27 will be at 38 and then it will go up to 69 and they have none left.

Sounds reasonable.

One reviewer did mention that the graphics are so nice that using DM is a waste of those nice graphics but DM is definately necessary to really squeeze eveything about the game.

But lets see, getting out of work and will be picking it up.

Why not, it's Batman.

Just picked it up. earlier me and my two buddies from work went out to pick up a copy at Toys r us , but they only had one, so we let the guy buy it that went in first and asked. He lucky bastard got a $30 GC without being a reward zone member I get home and thankgod the local TRU has it, but shame, only a $20 GC do I get.

Mine will be here Thursday, but the CE only cost be $85 shipped so I can't complain about not having it yet I guess.

I finally got around to getting home and opening my CE.

Overall, if you are a Batman fan and love the game I think this is a cool set to have. Maybe not at the full retail price, but for about $80 it would be just about right. Since I got it for $40, I am very happy with it.

The box is pretty cool and has a couple magnets on the flap to hold it shut. I have not watched the extra disk so I can't speak on how that is yet but it is a Blu Ray disk for whoever asked earlier about it. The leather bound journal is pretty neat, I haven't read through it yet though either. As far as the Batarang, I think everyone had too high of expectations for it. That said I had super low expectations for it based on what I read online but I was pleasantly surprised by it. Yes it is cheap and the weathering/paint is not the best but it looks pretty darn good on the shelf. It is not supposed to be removable since it is glued on to the stand but I was able to easily pop it off which makes it even cooler IMO. I would think it would be easy enough to sand down, primer it and paint it up for a pristine new look.

I will take some pictures and post them in a little bit.

cool man. yeah i'd sand it down, paint it flat black and try to add a little bit of weathering to it for a "combat" used batarand.

I love the fighting in this game and the stealth attacks.
I took on 6 guys with out getting hit.
when 8X combo unlocked I grabed one guy and trew him into another 2 guys and finished them off.
BAD ASS !
this game makes you feel like the ultimate super hero.
