I know that directors use Bruce Wayne as an opposite for Batman, but imagine a movie, maybe 24 style, with just Batman trying to figure a case out? I think that would be great. Every movie since the 89 Batman, Bruce Wayne has come across as being weak. He always seems to be looking for a reason to give it all up. In the first Batman Alfred letst Vicki in the Bat cave, WTF? In Batman Returns Selina figures out who he is after they dance together at a costume party, WTF?? Then he pulls off his mask in front of Penguin and Christopher Walken WTF??? Good thing they both died. In Batman Forever **** Grayson sneeks into the Batcave after Alfred leaves the door open WTF???? Then Two-Face, Riddler, and Chase Meridien figure out or learn who he is, this is after Bruce wants to give it all up for the chick WTF????? In Batman and Robin Alfred's neice Barbara figures out who Bruce is after figuring out Alfred's password WTF??????
Batman Begins Bruce Wayne practically tells Rachel that he's Batman WTF????? In The Dark Knight a clerk figures out who Bruce Wayne is and goes on national TV good thing the Joker stops him WTF??????? Finally in The Dark Knight Rises just about everyone knows who Bruce Wayne is at the end and he gives up everything WTF??????????
We need a pure BATMAN film without Bruce WAyne showing all of his detective skill and well as gadgets and some good fights. No Wayne, no stupid romance that leaves him conflicted, just BATMAN being BATMAN!!!!

You hit the money right there.. This was always the problem.. Romance tucked into Batman movies. :pfft:

He never had a romantic relationship with anyone other than Talia Al-Ghul, but that's already towards the latter part of his crimefighting career.. There's the flirtation with Catwoman here & there, but never a consistent relationship that causes him to make un-Batman-like decisions. :tap

If only Producers & Directors of this Batman reboot would pick up the mere objective of Batman (strike fear in the hearts of his opponents for AS LONG AS HE LIVES - not stop when he's tired or found a replacement), it'll be awesome.

The Batman in films has always had a problem with chicks. [insert modern gold digger]: "Hey Bruce, wanna see my ****ies?" Bruce: "I'm Batman!"

Wrong.

Talia, Vicki Vale, Silver st Cloud, Julie madison and Selina Kyle just to name a few. Aside from Silver st Cloud being murdered, Bruce has many romantic relationships but forces himself to break them off because of the risk. Recently, in They Widening Gyre, Silver and Bruce have a relationship again, rekindling it, an fly out to the carribean everyweek to get away. The two get engaged, as she knows he is batman and goes around the batcave in a batshirt and underwear, but she is murdered by the crime fighter Baphomet, which turns out to be Onamatopeia.

So, bruce does have relationships, and he has gotten depressed over the love and loss of relationships. Its a part of Batman, where he wants to live a normal life but cant, grieving over the fact he continually pushes love away for fear of repercussions. Especially with Silver, he has often pondered about giving up being Batman.

But theres other relationships like ones with batwoman, black canary, Sasha Bordeaux for example.

And yes, im talking about romantic relationships, not flings.

Yeah, I mean I can definitely see them going for the Arkham Asylum/City STYLE, but having the story be along the same lines.. just don't see that.

It's on the Wikia so it must be true!

:lol A whole wiki for just fanfiction. :lol

Harvey dent: gothams white night and tragic hero? Yea it's so hot damn fake. The fact the cast is already there smells fake. Glad that no name isn't batman tho.

Wow - what a wiki!! :lol :monkey4

It's probably been mentioned / suggested ad nauseum by now, but I'd personally LOVE to see a period film - taken seriously of course, but drawing heavily from the original Bob Kane aesthetic.

Bring back the mystery, the grit, & the aura of The Bat persona. It'd work perfectly in an earlier place in time, where theatricality, true fear & deception, would capitalize on the naivety of a by gone era. :)
