With all the stuff they're trying to put in there it should be a 12 part miniseries on HBO.

There will be tons of plot holes in this film. All references to the MOS were after thoughts as this movie was rushed so WB & DC could start their cinematic universe to compete with Marvel. MOS was never meant to be the starting point of something but simply be a Superman reboot like the previous Nolan Batman trilogy. So writers tried to write back story to Wayne being involved somehow. Wether Batman was retired or not he wouldn't have sat around for days while aliens were threatening the planet and he certainly wouldn't have been hanging around Metropolis in his Armani suit. Whats worse is Snyder admitted to fudging comic lore in that here he made Gotham and Metropolis neighboring cities. So what, Wayne didn't care until his precious Wayne tower was destroyed? Just weak writing. It would have been more believable to say he was in Japan or some crap and just had him watching it from afar and not being able to act. More believable. And as far as nitpicking stuff, if DC wants to brag how realistic dark and gritty these are as compared to Marvel's comic booky movies well then they deserved to be picked on. They subject themselves to a whole new world of complaints. They want it to feel real then it better look real.

Right on! MCU ftw! :rock DC can't into comics! they can't into quips! they don't take the source material seriously, not like Marvel, Marvel Studios loves the source material and they show it by making jokes about it, so self aware, so fun! RIP DC!

I was wondering when someone would bring this up.

Nobody in the history of comicbooks has ever cared where Gotham or Metropolis are in a map, yet now I bet it's gonna be some sort of sacrilege according to casuals, never mind the fact that Gotham and Metropolis aren't even that far from each other, never mind the fact that Metropolis and Gotham are both versions of New York, na-ah, that's just wrong, it's not fun and smart, you know how Whedon made Stark be the creator of Ultron? Yeah, that's how it's done!

Honestly I'm fine with Gotham and Metropolis being "neighbors," more than Smallville's change of Metropolis (which is supposed to be New York) being a short car ride from Smallville, Kansas.

I liked what Brian Azzarello did in those "First Wave" books (the mini-series where Pulp Batman teamed up with the likes of Doc Savage and The Spirit), where Gotham was LA.

If the leaked plot is any indication, they seem to draw a lot from Azzarello's/Bermejo's stuff, like Luthor saying to Supes "You're the end of human achievements" through the window of his building.

The new trailer was definitely better than the last one and showed some great things. However I still don't like Eisenberg or Gadot.:slap Despite that, I'll still watch this and hopefully It's better than expected.

If that's the case, then **** yeah, because that's the Luthor I love. He doesn't hate Superman because he's superior, but because he enables humanity's self-destruction through their own complacency.

S is drawn too well. Cancelled.

Those survivors might not speak ze english...
I noticed that as well. Maybe it was a family of artists.
Also noticed Kal went to their house first as opposed to the family on the roof behind them.
(that family probably couldn't get their bat signal to work in the day so they had to wait)

I wonder how Gadot managed to fill the breast section of WW armor? That girl is so flat I bet they had to stuff a few rolls of paper towel down her front.

I just assume that, when you're stranded on a roof for hours and bored out of your mind, the **** retentive side gets the better of you.

"It's like this, right?"

"No, no, no; the curve on the top half of the S is thicker than the bottom."

"Wait, what?"

"Just...give it to me."

"Oh, I gotcha. Then, I put a triangle around it, right?"

"Are you serious right now?"

"If you want something done right, you've got to do it yourself. Hand it over."

"I was going to have to do this part, anyway, because, even if you did somehow, not screw up the shape, you'd no doubt mess up the curves of the shield."

"Look! Up in the Sky! It's him! It's him! Oh...just a Seagull. I hope he shows up before we starve to death."

I wasn't sure about Eisenberg until I saw the trailer I think he'll be a fine Luthor

:lol yes.

I wish I was a teenage fanboy and not question anything. Alas I never was. Stupid is stupid. Unless it's supposed to be stupid. Then I'm totally fine with it.

Do they have art majors? If not, I just don't see how they call pull it off.

The lack of self awareness in this thread is obliterating. Gaspar you are right, seriously this movie is what you think it is. The next coming. All over your face. Again and again. Until you can't come up for breath, in your fanboy blindness. It always was before it even existed.

Disagreeing and standing your point is fair and just. Constantly feeling the need to laugh at, disempower, and dismiss others is actually a real sign of a personal confidence issue. Laugh with the people that hate it, agree with people that love it. No one is right, it's just a stupid movie with guys in rubber suits. This passive aggressive nonsense isn't very cool.
