Trailer was fine for me. It'll be a fun ride of a movie but nothing to take seriously.

Trailer looks fantastic! But somehow Doomsday reminds me of the Abomination from the Hulk movie. Why they can't stick closer to the comic design is beyond me. Cool to see Hot Toys is already on this. There seems to be one Superman and three Batmen (probably Regular, Iron and Dream). Hope Wonder Woman doesn't lag behind for months.

doomzod.

Actually I'm not. I did with Man of Steel, and this looks like it has more of the same issues that movie had. Jesus every shot looks so VFX-y that it looks like a weird cartoon.
I'm not sure if I'll see it, either. I didn't see MOS until it was out for several weeks, and could have waited for the DVD. If the initial reviews aren't good to very good, I may just hold out for Redbox. I typically would see something like this just so I wouldn't encounter spoilers, but it looks like most of them were revealed in the last trailer anyway. All we don't know for sure is what Aquaman's role is. I can very easily imagine the Jurassic Park style ending suggested before.

A few thoughts (not that anyone cares, :lol)...but let me preface my thoughts be saying that I really haven't been following news on the film, or following this thread, so if I bring anything up that's already been discussed/confirmed, my bad. I haven't read comics regularly in about 20 years, but I remember all the old classic stories. Growing up I was a Marvel fan, but Batman was my favorite superhero, as he was the first superhero I was introduced to growing up. I still have a picture of my five year old birthday cake with Batman on it.

-Though brawnier/burlier than I prefer; I kind of like the comic faithful bat suit with the short "bat ears". Batman should be big, but also lithe enough to have the agility he needs. Affleck looks good as Batman, not so much as Bruce Wayne. Maybe I'm just too used to Bale in the role. Bruce Wayne should not have the constant five o'clock shadow that Affleck always seems to have. In the scenes where Bruce Wayne gets out of his car (Bentley?) and talks with Clark Kent at the gala, the suit looks ill-fitting. A billionaire such as Bruce Wayne should be wearing bespoke. Plus every time I see Affleck's face, it makes me want to punch him for some reason, LOL.

-Lex Luthor: few scenes shown, but ugh...seemed like Jesse Eisenberg PLAYING Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. Dunno, I like Spacey as Lex Luthor (and I still like the Brandon Routh/Brian Singer Superman Returns, even if it gets a lot of fan boy hate).

-Gal Gadot looks pretty good as Wonder Woman. Like I said, I was a Marvel fan (reading Marvel regularly and only collecting DC self contained stories like one shots and limited series (for my money, Son of the Demon is still one of the best Batman stories), but it'll be pretty cool to see the DC universe on screen.

-Ummm, was that creature supposed to be Doomsday, or a whole new character for the movie?

-Seems like there's A LOT going on for a two/two and a half hour movie (conflict and resolution between Superman and Batman, introduction of Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor's plan...not too mention whatever role Aquaman plays in the film)...hope it doesn't seemed rushed with pacing issues...

Well,

going to see this means you'll be watching MOS again because of the call back scenes.

Bloody hell, they're making us watch MOS again. :lol

Relax folks. Its edited to appeal to KIDS and family-friendly MCU crowd. Relax.

:lol :lol

I was scared to come in here this morning and find how everyone loved and cried "OMG" this is awesome and gonna be the best movie ever killing all Marvel previous movies.. blah blah.... :lol I am so happy most feel the same way as me. :yess: All I could do was shake my head the whole time to get through the trailer and tell myself it's not real... What a mess this movie is!!! Dark, gritty, realisitc, but then terrible humor so people now think it's lighthearted?? The 1st time Eisenberg talked as Luthor I thought "WTF?", the 2nd I couldn't contain my laughter!! I couldn't help but think that Eisenberg prepared for this role by watching Jim Carry play the Riddler in Batman Forever over and over... :lol So Batman's motivation is to go after and takedown Superman because of all the destruction caused in Metropolis with Supes' showdown with Zodd, right?? Ummm Doomsday unleashes a blast that decimates blocks of the city and many buildings, somehow Batman survived while being trapped in the thing he was flying in, then we see Wonder Woman and that is the time to crack the 1st light hearted whimsical line "I thought she was with you?" Umm, hey Bats, how many people just died? Well, at least it's Metropolis again and not Gotham!! Way to go Bats.. Wow, just wow.. this is gonna be so bad... I could go on and on with whats wrong with this. It's just a huge mess and I really can't say anything no one else has already said....

Well, that was certainly all over the place.

There must've been some interesting battles going on behind the scenes for the tone of this movie.

Why bother reading the leaked script when you can just watch the trailer.

Way to go ruining Wonder Woman's intro.

Doomsday is a mix of Ninja Turtle, Cave Troll and Abomination!

But the 3 obviously look great.

The title of this movie makes no sense. :lol

Oh well i'm too excited for Star Wars to lose sleep over this.

I'm with you 100%. :)

JJ Abrams was on Howard Stern the other day and said he hates it when a trailer gives away the entire movie. I think he's really going to hate this trailer when he sees it then. ;)

Yikes, that has to be the worst trailer of the year.

I'm actually not sold on Affleck anymore as Batman, he looks the part, and has the best suit so far, but hasn't done a single thing in these trailers to impress me. Cavil seemed to be doing a far better job in that trailer and I actually think will be the stand out of the film.

Also, I know I'm in the minority here, but I actually respect what Eisenberg is doing as Lex. For the first time, he's actually acting a bit different, instead of doing his usual Zuckerberg rendition again. Obviously all the over the top comedic stuff he was doing is a front, we'll probably see his more serious side once his motivation is revealed.

By the way, I actually thought Doomsday was Abomination for a split second :lol

I am completely with you. The trailer was pretty bad. It did nothing to excite me, actually did the opposite.

I totally thought that Doomsday was Abomination.

Lex being a bumbling fool in the trailer just doesn't do it for me. Even if it is a front, I hope for a more business and professional in the movie. I worry that he will be more comedic in the whole thing to get that Joker vibe. He just seemed like a fool besides the one good line on being psychotic.

my hype for this just evaporated. What a crap trailer that basically shows the whole movies plot in less than 3 mins. Still, the Batsuit is a masterpiece.

Also Doomsdays bro:

I've always thought this movie looked bad. The Affleck casting was the only thing I supported, I always thought Eisenberg was one of the worst choices possible for Lex. I thought MOS was terrible, and it was received with mixed reviews to be kind. I was always shocked how many people thought this movie was going to be the greatest thing ever. And now with this last trailer it looks exactly like the Zack Snyder film I knew it would. Its like people thought he was going to evolve or something for this movie. WB should have pulled back and developed a plan before trying to shoehorn a DCCU plot out of MOS just so they could catch up to Marvel.

Jesus, this is being torn to shreds online.
I wonder if Warner are ******** themselves right now.

It will make money regardless of how good it is, but the longterm implications and investment must be a concern.

Affleck will be the best thing about this. Imagine if Dark Knight Rises, even being sloppy is better than this.
