Eh, I suppose. But it's not really nervousness as much as just chomping at the bit to "get the show on the road". And people are tired on top of it. Like I said, it's been a long slog... 3 years. Let's just get it out in the wild and let it be what it will be. The longer schedule has also elongated the speculation and scuttlebutt/rumors part of the process, too. Believe it or not, that gets pretty tiresome. :lol

I think that would explain all of us here. WB should have already had this ball rolling with faith in MOS. But naw, they sat back and watched Marvel roll out flick after flick for 3 years and saturate the market with men in tights. Last summer we could have had Wonder Woman or Aquaman to watch instead of Ant-Man?

Yeah, with so much riding on this film, and so much time passing from the initial announcement, that's only natural. The commercials just haven't put a good taste in my mouth here personally, but I'm hopeful that the final product surpasses expectations, and that these rumors are unfounded. Not that a group of studio execs are always going to be the best gauges of what works for mass audiences anyway.

Lol. Somehow it looks better than Doomsday and the Bay turtles look by themselves.
Damn, WWEJedi must be exploiting some Black Hole or something. How else is he able to defy the laws of Physics and traverse time and space? That, or he's using blood magic...

Iobard Thawne?

Jurassic World really really pissed me off.

Only because everyone was like "oh no we wont use animatronics this time because CGI has gotten to a point that it looks much better than before bla bla"
then the studio adds that stupid long neck animatronic dinosaur to just throw a bone to the old fans.
But the raptors looked like crap and the raptors in JP3 were much more realistic.

then they create that horrible monstrosity that is the I Rex.... f k that movie

Did my pic confuse you mate?

Sorry if it did, my bad :(

I have to say that it truly is very jarring going to the movies to watch a pre cgi movie.

I just returned from First Blood 35mm and not only does the movie remain spectacular to this day but seeing the actors interact with that very muddy, rocky, cold and foggy environment plus all those incredible stunts just took my breath away.

Sometimes you just need an analog palate cleanse after all these modern Superhero movies pile on the cgi.

Even the actors and the characters they play carry themselves differently in a pre social media world.

Everything in First Blood had so much WEIGHT to it!

Ok, now that I hit the reset button i'm ready for some Batman v Arkham Knight.

One of my all time favorite films. Did you know that Stallone really broke one of his ribs when he hit one of the tree branches? That's why his screaming looked so real :lol Also, the special effects/make up they used when he's sewing his arm still looks real...the way the blood was coming out, I have no idea how they made it look so real.

thats my biggest problem.
that's the one thing i wish they changed. everything now looks super clean, everything looks sterilized, even jungles look like a set for a tv commercial.

there is no grittiness anymore, there is no dirtiness to things, movies back then were more believable and you could submerge yourself more because everything looked old and dirty or damaged or lived in. there was a grayness to everything .

Now... now movies look like commercials for Panthene shampoo or for Apple products.

Omg, on the huge screen I could clearly see the blood pouring out from his well made up wound, amazing.

I hadn't seen the movie since the 80's, I was completely blown away tonight. It was like seeing it for the first time while simultaneously remembering many of the scenes.

I forgot just how crazy the stunt work was in that movie.

I'm happy that my revisit was on such a gloriously huge screen!

Epic dirt!

No doubt no doubt, you hit the nail on the head.

Want to know how ****ed up, fickle and shallow our modern society is?

Rhonda Rousey was recently on Fallon and to promote that they sent out a still image to the media of her sitting on the chair next to his desk.

Someone, probably the advertisers, felt that her arm was too thick so they doctored the image to make her arms look thinner.

Her fans started to blame her and she came out and said it wasn't of her doing.

She's a fighter for christ sake, she's going to have thick arms!

We can't even have a photo of a person sitting on a ******* chair without it being photoshopped to death.

Keeping things real is no longer allowed.

Movies can still look great. I'm watching Bridge of Spies right now, and saw Hail, Caesar last week. But look magnificent. Unfortunately, it's true that the bland, digital, sanitized look is probably more preferable to Joe Sixpack Moviegoer.

I agree with you, but my perspective is that there's nothing we can do about it and I really want a good Batman movie, so I'm going to do my best to enjoy it (which I think is what yo were saying with you're "Okay, now I hit the reset button." Although, it's not like it's going to be a struggle for me since I've seen these trailers 10 times more than I've watched any movie trailers in my life. (Previously, the most I watched a trailer was 3 times with the Dark Knight Rises.)

First Blood is a great film for the reasons you described. I guess that's why the Star Wars movies were held in such high regard because of the the grittiness of that world. I can't remember anything outside of the blu-rays now, so I have to rely on fans for that. Although, that weight doesn't necessarily make a movie good to me. I tried watching First Blood Part II and no matter how much weight or grit that movie may have had, I couldn't get through 20 minutes of it without shutting it off. If the plot or characters aren't interesting than it's all null to me. Not saying that you're saying that though!

Yeah, Rambo 2 is over the top popcorn fun.

Has none of the nuances First Blood is known for.
Yes, absolutely true. First Blood is the kind of movie that can stand the test of time. Rambo 2 could only exist in the 80's, but it was an awesome film to see back then in theaters.
