But Batman is not beating on innocent (your kids analogy) people so why would that tarnish him?

Hate them for making him like the Punisher. :lol

Dude is willing to use lethal force on Superman... A guy everyone knows actually saved a TON of people despite the destruction he caused. This isn't the Presidential whipping boy Superman from DKR where the whole fight makes sense (and btw he was never actually going to kill Superman in that fight). This is Batman going to kill a guy that he basically thinks MIGHT someday go awry. Might.

Thats maybe worse than Punisher even.

I'm really curious to see it. I actually liked MoS. It's not that Batman Returns was great... (Did I say this aloud?) :monkey3

I read that Superman kills again by punching a terrorist through brick walls at the beginning of the movie while rescuing Lois. If it's post Jason Todd, I can understand Batman killing grunts...

if people were mad at mad of murder i cant wait the normal audiences seeing batmurder in this one :lol

To be fair, though, Superman did kill Zod, and you could argue that all the people who died during their battles were, at least, partially his responsibility. It's basically in the eyes of the beholder, and Batman has the eyes of a psychopath.:lol

Well, the one thing that is different is that there is never a "will he or won't he" moment like the murder in MOS. Batman is just kinda killing guys without any attention being brought to it for a large part of the film. It is like just implied that that is what he does... Until later on when they "homage" the Dark Knight Returns scene of him busting through the wall and getting a machine gun... Bad guy has a hostage and says "I'll kill her man... Believe me I will"... and Batman goes "I believe you" before he basically blows him up.

Now had Batman not been killing nonchalantly up to that point, that scene would have had the same reaction as the MOS neck-breaking. But with batman already killing up until then... Who really cares?

Funny, that was the very premise of the paranoia BTAS Bats had against Superman, going so far as having a hidden room in the Batcave with Kryptonite, and giving Terry enough to take down Superman. Batman was always paranoid of Superman, but not going as far as taking drastic measures to take him down. It was all handled intelligently and makes sense within that universe.

In any case, I was wondering- Is Batman still a detective in this one, or is he just all angry and murderin'?

Well, that's cringeworthy... But not as bad as this rant over here: THE CRITICS ARE TASTELESS PAID-OFF IDIO... - IMDb

"It's all a conspiracy man, Disney wants to buy the DC properties and is paying off critics to destroy WB!"

:lol

Some fans are pathetic.

I like Star Wars, but I didn't get filled with rage when the prequels were bad. This stuff is meant as a diversion, something to enjoy, it's not a substitute for having a life.

:exactly:
You should preach that a little louder to a few of the members here.
:lol

If he's already in prison? Maybe.

He is hunting down Superman to kill him just in case he turns...

But won't go hunt down Joker because he is possibly in prison even though he knows he is a horrible creature that has proven he really does want to kill as many people as possible?

Sorry man. I get what you're saying... But it just doesn't make sense for the film to do it this way.
