To give you a more serious response though here's why I've taken note of "other people" (whether they be that 72% of audience members or specific individuals that I know either in person or on this site) who have liked the film: It's just comforting to see other like-minded individuals out there praising what I consider to be a commendable effort and a film that I don't want "rebooted" or anything like that. And on a personal level for whatever reason I want to see Zack, Affleck, Gadot and company getting kudos because they were all so mercilessly ridiculed for being attached to the project from the get go. I'm *so* glad that Gadot's mockery has almost unanimously turned to "She stole the show/was one of the best parts of the movie!"

That's all. Sure a lot of us agree that Raiders of the Lost Ark, Citizen Kane, Seven Samurai, etc., are all great films and that Freddy Got Fingered, Battlefield Earth, Showgirls, etc., all suck but between the Top 100 and Bottom 100 films of all time (that pretty much everyone agrees on) there are *thousands* that aren't so clearly defined. Or that are loved and then hated (Avatar) or hated then loved (Wizard of Oz, Carpenter's The Thing.) All things to keep in mind in this world of absolutes that we currently live in. :)

Well, that's an answer that I can accept. Because it's well thought-out and actually explains the reasons behind a certain stance. But, whenever I see someone who seriously thinks that this movie is "too big for little minds" well, it's as defensive as it gets. Liking something and not admitting any of its flaws is not the same IMO.

What about my statement makes me, a) require a weak explaination of Batmans motives. b) excuse the fact that Batman was simply portrayed as a dude bro who wasn't smart enough to figure out much on his own and was manipulated at every turn and was essentially The Punisher.

Anyway.... Nice to know there are folks that roam these threads who don't know you can be a serial killer AND a dude bro.

dude bro, look at these definitions of dude bro from the bro-est sites for bros dude.

Urban Dictionary: dude bro

Batman is not a dude bro or a bro dude dude.

If you say so.

A combination poser and ********* whom has an apparent deep psychological need to appear tougher (pronounced "harder" by dudebros) than they really are.

dude-bro

Noun
(plural dude-bros)

(slang) A hypermasculine man....

I swear, does EVERY non-positive opinion about this movie need an attempt at minimizing and disproving it in some way?! I mean, this is craziness.

Man, this thread moves faster than The Flash...or faster than Batman kills people in BVS :lol Anyway, I agree with Kevin Smith's opinion of the film...even though I like the movie. Both Bats and Sups are A holes murderers in the film...and Sups is just not likable at all.

Out of all the myriad of weapons a veritable genius can come up with to introduce a fatal dose of Kyrptonite to Superman, he comes up with a SPEAR!

I really thought he would have integrated the kryptonite into his suit so that his presence alone would weaken Superman. But I guess a sink is also a plan.

The spear was one of the best parts of the movie. Think about it, in Bruce's mind this was going to be THE most important kill of not only his life but of the world as he knew it. It would also be the one that was most dependent on *nothing* going wrong. So no overcomplicated gadgets, no theatricality, nothing that could jam or misfire at the most inopportune time, in all of his brilliance he knew that his best shot was to make the kill as simple as a caveman skewering a boar. Awesome. :rock

I loved the juxtaposition of the most high-tech warrior imaginable branding a neanderthal's weapon.

I hear you. :duff

It's viseral, but hundreds of Kryponite pellets to the face from a sawed off Shotgun would work just as well. Since this Batman has no aversion to guns.....

I liked that Superman was cocky when he landed on the roof to confront Batman.

Even when Batman slipped up and gave away the traps he had set up (sonic and guns) by slowly walking backwards Superman knowingly walked forward towards Batman not giving 2 craps what traps Batman had set up to take him down.

If you prefer the visual of a Batman wielding a Kryptonite shotgun that's find, but again, what if he missed? There's no getting that buckshot back. If he misses with the spear he can just strike again.

Yep, that was also brilliant. The flip side of Gene Hackman's traps against the original Superman. Batman did it to feign the disclosure of his playing cards when in reality he had the ultimate ace up his sleeve.
