Anyone else see this article on Forbes? Those who like the movie will enjoy it (and agree). Those who don't... probably won't.

Zack Snyder Loves Superman, And 'Batman V Superman' Proves It

Excellent read!
This is exactly what I was debating with a friend of mine about the movie.
The movie has a much more deeper theme than a typical superhero movie, and that if you dont get it, then it falls flat to someone else's perspective.

I've seen many people say that Cavill's was wooden and appeared mopy.
That is a shortsighted way of looking at things.
Much like what MOS emphasized, Superman is a symbol of Hope.
But in a world that is dreary, He himself is struggling, and is wondering that what his good father tried to instill in him is just a myth.

One of the things I was surprised about this movie is Lois' role. I was assuming that her role wouldnt be big in this movie and she's just a filler to
inject in Superman's world, like having Alfred in Batman's.
But she actually turned out to be one of the main characters in the movie, and when Superman was losing hope...he found it in Lois.

I've seen some people post that they dont like the movie, cause they like Batman but when the two were about to fight, they didnt root for Batman.
That is actually a good proof that Snyder didnt hate Superman, and that when two are now starting their epic fight, you start to see that Batman is actually the villain here.
When Snyder and crew were brainstorming for the MOS sequel, someone brought up...why dont we have Batman as the villain?
Now, if this movie would have been shallow, it would have made Batman just straight up, as a Villain, that he's now literally...a bad guy and its now Batman v Superman...good guy vs bad guy.
Snyder didnt do that, what he made batman instead is a fallen hero. And his final transition, his fall from grace is when he finally Kills Superman...but when that time came, He eventually redeemed himself, found hope in the man who symbolizes that.

There was soo much more to this movie than a typical beat em up movie, superhero movie.
And even when the two were about to fight...something I was looking forward to and was expecting something like Thor and Hulk Fighting, but on a more grander scale, Snyder was actually able instill an unnerving feeling of seeing two heroes fight.
It was like seeing my parents fight. Instead of enjoying the fight...now I found myself saying...goddamit...Stop!!!

I can see why some people may not like the movie. Snyder's film isnt for everyone.
But I just think that some of the things that people are complaining, are just a shortsightedness way of looking at the big picture.

Ok that sounded nothing like the WW theme. :lol

The movie where Batman kills over 3 people and psychologically disturbed while doing it. You know, the actual definition of what a serial killer is. :slap

Crap, ok I missed that single 2 second riff in there that was similar, but it was like a mariachi version of the WW riff. :lol

Why does DiFabio even know what the music from SK sounds like anyways! :lol

I work in a psychiatric hospital and today one of the patients came to me and said he saw Batman v Superman and he loved it!

I'm talking solely from a filmmaking perspective. Batman Forever has clear establishing shots, adheres to a single tone and theme, great pacing and superior editing. BvS is a mess in that regard. It's all over the place, especially in the third act where we're following Batman's preparation for his fight with Superman and it just keeps cutting away to things that are unnecessary to what's driving the plot like Justice League set ups and the like. The movie felt like a bunch of scenes incoherently placed in the movie, like some long rough cut far from being "locked".

:goodpost:

I've said the same kind of thing before and been shot down for it.
