WW was so badass you have to wonder (no pun intended) if she could have defeated DD by herself. If she has a magic blade that can cut through Kryptonian flesh and bone then it's conceivable that she could have decapitated him.

DD wasn't 100% Kryptonian, so maybe that's why the blade could cut him.

Snyder on Robin's death

“In my mind, it was that Robin had died 10 years earlier, during some run-in with a young Joker,” Snyder tells IGN. “So there was a fun backstory there to play with. I felt like the whole idea was that there had been loss and there had been sacrifice. In a weird way, he had sacrificed everything to be Batman. He doesn’t really have a life outside the cave. I thought that including Robin, a dead Robin, was helping us understand that he’s been on quite a little journey.”

Yeah, I wondered if Lex' blood diluted his invulnerability somewhat. I did have the "Death of Superman" issue way back when. Didn't Supes and Doomsday just kill each other by doing simultaneous uppercuts or something stupid like that? :lol I do prefer the Thorin/Azog deaths that they had in BvS.

Snyder on Robin's death

I was surprised that there was no direct establishing of that in the movie. I wonder if it will be in the extended cut.

It's fun imagining who they might cast for the rest of Batman's Rogue's Gallery. Hopefully Zack finds another role for Patrick Wilson. I'm an even bigger fan now after his work in the brilliant Fargo series.

We know he likes Carla Gugino, I wonder if we'll be seeing her in the DCCU soon.

I paid more attention to Jimmy Olsen the second time around. They never once call him by name. I assume his identity was revealed in MOS? I thought that they changed Jimmy to "Jenny" and didn't have him in the story at all.

Yeah. I always liked the image of the cape waving like a flag though...very iconic.

I'm sure she would have killed it if she had a spear or something. That sword alone just wasn't cutting it.

Just saw it...

Not one of the worst CBMs but definitely not one of the best, suffers from too much going on and the plot jumps all over the place. Affleck's Batman was fantastic as I thought it would be after seeing the suit, I was always on-board with him as Batman. Gadot's Wonder Woman was a pleasant surprise and she did just fine in the role. Cavill was good too, I'm still disappointed his "true" sequel was taken away from him, but hopefully we'll see him again in a lone Superman movie.

Casting was great all around except Lex Luthor. Eisenberg was wrong for the role and when he comes back I hope he loses the craziness, I prefer the cold, suave, calculating Luthor and we got an evil Zuckerberg who just gets unhinged after Superman pops up. Doomsday was also just thrown in there as a plot device to bring the heroes together, and while I understand the motives..I wish they kept things simple and focused on Batman vs. Superman and have Luthor manipulating the circumstances of their battle before uniting against him.

Plot was all over the place...some things worked, some didn't...but there was a little too much going on. I'm not going to get into it as others have. As someone else said, DC is playing catch-up and they threw in A LOT to set things up for Justice League.

I'm fine with Snyder, he's OK and he does some great action scenes, but Goyer has got to go. They need to tighten up the script for the follow-on movies. If Suicide Squad ends up being a critical success (unlike BvS), then you can probably see WB re-think some of their future director/writer choices...

I'm actually more excited for Suicide Squad, that movie actually looks a lot better.

Both sides really do agree on the two highlighted points above. Good for those two especially since they drew so much ire back when they were first announced.

Obviously Marvel is doing a straight up adaptation of The Infinity Gauntlet. Is there a definitve Darkseid story that everyone is assuming JL1 and 2 will follow? Something where he swarms the earth with those "parademon" things obviously? Oh and if there is a classic Darkseid invasion story please don't spoil how it gets resolved.

MCU might be playing this one smarter khev.

When bic boi Thanos finally shows up we the audience will finally see them battle a big powerful being (Thor v Hulk and Hulk v Hulkbuster don't count).

BvS already showed us the 3 core members of the JL battling a big powerful being. Sure Darkseid will be more powerful but he even shoots lasers out of his eyes like Doomsdaynation.

True. But those parademons were scarier/cooler in two minutes of BvS than the entire climaxes of Chitauri warriors/Ultron drones in Avengers 1 and 2.

TFA theatrical trailers never showed us who was flying the Falcon on Jakku, never showed us a single moment inside Han's Freighter, never showed us any interior scenes in Starkiller Base. It didn't even reveal that Rey was going to be involved in the Finn/Kylo duel.

TDK never showed us one moment with regard to the ferries or any of the battle in the incomplete skyscraper (other than "Here..we..go..") nor did it show anything of the final showdown with Dent.

BvS should have been all about the supposed battle with Batman and Superman and nothing else. Shouldn't have shown the warehouse fight, WW in costume, Doomsday. They don't even have the excuse of "but they were building an entire universe off of this film so they had to show their hand to ensure people came" because Disney was banking their entire $4 *BILLION* investment on TFA doing well and *they* didn't reveal everything.

I'm so excited for Suicide Squad that I'm tempted to ignore all future trailers and TV spots from here on out. It's the only way to be sure.

Zack is still pretty pissed about the BvS trailer that spoiled the Trinity reveal and Doomsday. It's the only one he didn't cut himself. Someone in WB Marketing was getting all antsy about the lack of buzz and decided to throw that trailer out there. I don't think it had the desired effect. Those folks might be backlot tour guides now for all I know. :lol

You'll be happy to hear that Goyer is gone. He's been gone since the first shooting draft of BvS. JUSTICE LEAGUE has been scripted entirely by Terrio. Goyer wasn't even involved in the story meetings for that. It was Zack, Terrio and Affleck (and Geoff Johns a couple of times, I believe). If Goyer gets a credit at all on JL it'll be because of some contractual or legal thing.

Whoever cut that Doomsday trailer should now be editing in-flight movies on cargo planes hauling rubber dog**** out of Hong Kong.

I'm not gonna say anyone was fired or anything, but the team that put that trailer together will not be doing it for any more of these movies.
