Agreed 100%.

Cap was awful. Ultron was awful. Thor was wasted. Tony was blah. Natasha & Bruce's romance made no God damn sense. The twins were undercooked.

The only good characters were Vision & Hawkeye (and Serkis' small role as The Klaw).

I gave it a 7.5/10 when I left the theater. A year later its down to 7/10.

7/10 was RIDDICKs score for the first Avengers film if memory serves. I assume he'd go lower for AoU.

Yeah but at least there is some great... As far as "great" goes DC is failing with this new Universe they are trying to create. They have made Bad (MOS) and good (BvS) I hope they can get around to great at some point. Granted there are only two but they are two films that should have ben easy homeruns IMO.

BtW I liked you 8/10 for The Incredible Hulk.. Underrated movie IMO.

TIH like BvS could have been a 10/10 had it not been butchered in post. They took out half an hour, which included the suicide opening and pretty much the most emotional scenes Norton shot and then took the stinger with Stark and placed it before the credits. Ridiculous.

BvS should have stayed 3 hours long, which was Snyder's desired cut.

That's the problem with film making, the true vision is like 3 hours and they edit the good stuff out for a 2.5films leaving stuff that adds backstory to the film up to a mediocre film... This movie has extended cut all over it

Honestly, I just think its stupid on WB's part from both a box office standpoint and a technical one. The film could have easily stayed 3 hours. THE DARK KNIGHT RISES ran 15 minutes shy of 3 hours and grossed $1 Billion without 3D. IMAX reels are limited to exactly 3 hours, so as long as the post-credits WB logo appeared onscreen at the three hour mark it was perfectly doable.

Studios are stupid sometimes.

More like greedy, movie theaters are franchisees buying the movie reel(or data download, since everything's digital) from the movie studio for each theater room and have to break even on food to survive, if this was a 3 hour flick some theaters wouldn't survive on how expensive it would be to have this on multiple showings since shorter time movies would be more profitable than this.

WB is desperate since they would want more showings than just one room for three shows on opening night.

I had a lot of problems with age of ultron, I kinda hated it. I thought ultron was weak and the ending was dumb.

But this movie made me appreciate ultron.
As forced as ultron was in some things, at least it flows better. Character motivations are more clear and they fight more than once and the movie breathes better.

Few are going to use Superman Returns as an example of how to do a superhero movie the right way. But it does make for a nice strawman. But sure, if you ask if Superman Returns or Superman V Batman had a better ending villain fight, I'll go with the latter.

He could create Metallo which would serve as a basic idea for his mech suit later in the series.

:clap
Someone hire this mutha RIGHT NOW and get him to work on a DCCU script! :lecture

Instead of grafting "The Death Of Superman" onto the end of a confused retcon of "The Dark Knight Returns"
the script could've had Lex use his advanced corporate black-budget Earth tech (instead of goo-ship-with-LOTR-orc-birthsac tech)
to fashion his retrieved kryptonite into Metallo, who would then attempt to levitate a few city blocks into the stratosphere to . . .
Oh wait . . .
What story are we trying to tell here? :panic:

At any rate, you'll need some serious stunt casting for John Corben. I'm thinking:
>Pee Wee Herman
>Cait Jenner
>Paul Walker
>digitize all three into a Brundlefly/telepod nightmare

I'll wait 'til the inevitable HT Battle Damaged Armored Batman with the kryptonite spear.

You'll wait for the Granny's Peach Tea exclusive that costs $150 more and like it!

:lol :hi5: I now do regret being so rude about Age Of Ultron, I was pretty hard on that movie and the movie is miles better than this, At least Ultron IS actually "FUN" (Since being fun is so important now.
just overall a better edited and better written movie. At least you DO understand why Ultron is angry and why he wants to take everyone out, motivation as clear as water. And the action scenes are pretty evenly throughout the movie.

:exactly:

Terrible article. Can't stand Faraci.

I'll take MOS over Donner's films any day of the week.

*If Snyder [surprisingly] gets booted off JLA I won't lose sleep. I liked what he brought to the table.

how many articles has that Faraci written now? :lol

In all seriousness tho, I'm guilty of loving this gag.

Pretty sure the guy thinks his articles will somehow get Snyder fired.

Guy's an *****.

If WB boots Snyder it won't happen until BvS has left theaters. So it wouldn't just be a parting of ways for the Snyders and Warner Bros. but also a two-month delay on JLA's start date.

Still don't see the above happening.
