Clearly, how? Because it's the only story you can remember where Superman is "evil"? Lol, oh boy.

I remember an episode from the 90's animated series or maybe it was from Justice League where Lois goes to an alternate reality, and in tht reality she was dead, and because of that Superman had become more strict and he was working for Luthor as some kind of dictator. But I also remember another episode where Luthor is the President of the United States and he's responsible for Flash's death, and eventually Superman kills him, and he and the rest of the JL rule the world.

I still don't get why people are screaming "INJUSTICE" as if it's a sure lock. Supes went nuts Post-Lois' Death in order to create a safer, stabler world where such things wouldn't happen. He turned into a dictator, not a tyrant, there's a difference. Injustice Superman didn't go around destroying cities and leaving them in a Post-Apoc state, he tried everything he could so that they would be protected and safer. Plus, he never allied himself with Darkseid. Hell, he barely appears in there! It's Sinestro and his Corps he makes a pact with, since they both share similar world-views, i.e. Peace through Order.

As I've said already, this is much more in line with the plot of Nu52 Earth-2. There, the big names died (here it's just Superman), leading to a bunch of unlikely heroes banding together, eventually coming face to face with an Evil "Superman", who also lost a Lois. Seriously, everything we've seen so far has no similarities with Injustice except "Superman is a ****". If they're trying to adapt that, they're doing a poor job. The story is a great morality tale, but if you have Supes go all evil, you lose everything the game's about.

Maybe we should wait for a few more hints before we go all "they're adapting Injustice 100%" is all I'm saying... At this point, everyone's running with it, mostly because it's the only "Superman turned Evil" story they know, never mind that nothing so far points directly to Injustice, but rather a usual "hero turned evil story". Regime Supes was twisted, but not "evil". He was a Doctor Doom character if anything.

That was Justice Lords. The one where Superman wore that slick black & white costume (not to be confused with Beyond).

The more charming, wiser Superman can come after INJUSTICE.

At that point he's pretty damn weathered and most importantly humbled which is what Snyder has cited as his main goal for this version.

Ok, maybe. It will tale a very long while, a decade maybe. I guess we can wait and see

The biggest part of the Injustice story that doesn't jive, is that Superman doesn't "redeem" himself.

Exactly, that's where Snyder is taking him. They're adapting INJUSTICE, where Superman turns on the people of Earth after Lois, his key link to mankind, dies. Most people before watching BvS, expected a straightforward JLA film where Supes leads the pack into battle. That's cool but nowhere near as compelling as Superman failing to live up to the expectations and ideals of both his fathers. Instead of being a good man, he'll become a bad one. Instead of leading the people of Earth into the sun, he'll lead them into darkness. The Manhattan example is great because basically after BvS, Supes is where Manhattan was when he left to Mars. The difference is Manhattan didn't have to grieve Silk Specter. Superman will have to grieve Lois and it will break him psychologically.

Its completely unorthodox for a cinematic adaptation of Superman or better yet for a JLA film, but that's what I think makes it so desirable for me as a fan of the character. Where Nolan showed us the beginning, fall and rise of Batman, Snyder aims to dissect Supes in a similar way.

There was a simple, popcorny way of doing Superman in this new series, but we've seen that before [in five films] so I'm glad they went the INJUSTICE route instead.

**** that...make the real JLA or GTFO

**** that...make the real JLA or GTFO

Hey, since the JL exists in the Murder-Verse, then maybe Wildstrom's Authority could fill that void. Reverse the roles! Make Midnighter the guy who never kills and Apollo the one who embodies hope...

Going for my second viewing in an hour or so.
Skiving off work, think I will enjoy it more this time now that I know what it is.

With all the talk about batman killing people, does anyone remember that during that warehouse fight not only did he get stabbed in the arm but one of the guys he was fighting shot him in the head twice.
