Well I quite enjoyed the movie, however I guess reminding everyone that Justice League: Part 1 officially begins filming on April 11th, 2016 probably won't be so welcomed by others. Lol. [emoji23]

Okay my mind is blown. Someone mentioned the "Robin costume" having shorts and posted this pic in one of the HT threads.

I had literally watched every trailer and the full film twice without knowing that was supposed to be Robin! I thought it was just the remains of the Batsuit he wore during his final fight with Joker. And that Joker probably set some trap, Batman woke up with his sidekick dead in front of him and that graffiti spray painted on his own chest. Something like that. Now I'm seeing the shorts, tiny little mask, and when I zoom in I finally notice the "R" symbol on the side of the chest. I honestly have no idea how long it would have taken me to figure that out had someone not spelled it out.

My money's on that costume belonging to Jason Todd, who in the Batman solo prequel will be played by this guy...

If you would've told me last year post AOU release that it would be used as the glowing example against BvS I would've thought you were Nic Cage crazy! :lol

Man people really hate this movie! :lol

As for the earlier discussion re: AOU vs. Batman V Superman, I think there are a few major, structural differences:

1) tone, which no doubt affects critical opinion

2) AOU is really a clearer, more logically developed story, just very overdone with too many subplots that weren't allowed to develop well. The reason I could understand Khev liking both is that they both have this jumbled and somewhat complicated quality. There is something to be said for needing to keep coming back to a movie to understand what all was going on. But BVS had other deficiencies that undercut this to my eyes, and that of many others. Not that AOU was perfect in terms of outlining character motivations and behaviors (Tony Stark did some weird, uncharacteristic things in particular).

3) the ending--AOU was bittersweet, but left on an optimistic note. BVS was more on the bitter side obviously.

The way I see is like this,
I had a lot of problems with Ultron movie, but I definitely wanted to see it again to catch all the cool parts. I didn't even admitted it here, but I wanted to revisit the movie and catch all the nice things. As much as I hate Whedon, he made some really good things. I couldn't wait to rent it just to experience the stuff that was fun (because the movie did have fun parts like the Hulk fight)

After BvS the last thing in my mind was to revisit it. i want it tobe as far away from it as possible. if you gave me a free ticket to see it, I wouldn't, not even if you got me pop corn. I MIGHT watch it if i think about it like watching Inception, (to better prepare myself for it.) BUT i am STILL not sure if I want to experience this movie again or not.... I Might... see it again just to watch it with a new perspective but the first viewing was so sour that I really dont know if i want to experience that again.
Sure Ultron has problems but it doesn't make you feel sick. or negative afterwards.

the craziest thing about this movie is that it made me revisit Other movies I hated.... It made me wonder if i was just being picky against Jurassic World or being Picky against other Marvel movies or stuff like that. I thought I kinda hated Jurassic World, but i would watch Jurassic World 15 times before seeing this again...
none of the problems I had with Jurassic World compare to this.

Not to mention the heartbeat.
If the movie credits rolled with this as the theme, it would have offset any of my criticisms, and I would have given this movie a 10/10

Huge missed opportunity.

Given Batman's comment about how good guys have gone bad, I think this is fairly likely. And there is a precedent with the Batman Beyond thing.

I think the floating rocks would qualify as "optimistic."
I think Snyder would also use the air quotation marks if he were to say this.

the craziest thing about this movie is that it made me revisit Other movies I hated....
Man of Steel totally made me see Superman Returns in a better light.

So wait just a minute, this Superman is going to get even more grumpy after Lois dies. :slap.

:lol

I kid I kid, I really don't care just give me an entertaining movie, not a bore fest.

I'm enjoying reading the fast moving debate though, khev-eonidas is actually doing an outstanding job up against the invading hoard all on his own, he doesn't even need his 300. :lol

yeah well.....

you know, might be a perfect analogy :rotfl

Or, as usual, do you secretly look forward to seeing it again and simply refuse to admit it? I guess we won't know until you come clean next year. ;)

well Ultron didn't leave me feeling with sorrow and made my mind dull. I dont think any other movie has.
thats the thing, this was the first time I think That I left the movie theater feeling dread like that. I cant remember another time. Maybe horror movies have. But as far as action movies or comic movies I never experienced the feeling i got from watching a horror movie. im not even exaggerating either.
part of the problem with BvS is that the first hour had me bored to tears and the second half had me feeling a lot of sorrow. two experiences i did not want to have when watching this kind of movie.
(Thats why I did mean it when I brought up the Se7en and SAW comparisons, not the gore, but that feeling of dread)

Well when I was a kid our popcorn event movies ended with beloved heroes being tortured, imprisoned, and maimed (ESB) without any comfort for three long years. So I had no problem with BvS' tone. :)

I really enjoyed BvS. Great performances, stellar cinematography by Fong, the serious tone and the JLA/INJUSTICE setup.

Sure the editing was rough (Snyder's cut was altered) and most of the soundtrack was underwhelming but overall a pretty damn good movie.

I wipe my *** with critics reviews. Let those fools continue to worship generic superhero crap like IRON MAN 3 & ANT-MAN. Let them laugh all throughout their CBMs like morons.

Can't wait for JLA, Snyder or not.

I've found your delusions about BvS amusing until now. If you're going to start comparing it to ESB I'm not sure I can keep writing it off as hibernation sickness.

Eh, I wouldn't go that far. BvS has tons of problems but boring ain't one of them. Messy? Yes. Not faithful to the source material? Yes (the first person to post a scan from 1943 showing Batman use a gun, or the infamous KGBeast scene, gets an internet slap). Disjointed and more concerned about "setting up" everything so that they can compete with the MCU? Sure. But boring? Nah. The CW shows are hella boring for example. But BvS, with all of its faults, is "exciting" in a way. It keeps you glued to the screen.

As for AoU, I didn't hate it, but I don't really want to see it again. Maybe a complication of Cap's scenes (cause EvansCap is even better than 616-Cap), but that's it. BvS, I certainly want to see again, albeit the R-Cut. The film certainly was worse in my second viewing, but the Batman scenes were just as, if not more, awesome. Do I have problems with the characterization? Sure. But it's Moon Bat kicking *** and taking names, who doesn't love that?!

As for the Todd-is-Joker theories, yeah, they do seem much more likely now. It also explains why Batman hasn't killed him yet. I mean, there's no way he'd bring himself to kill his son. And the Robins are his sons. Problem is, Quinn isn't created by the Joker, but by Todd, which is okay, I guess, but eh... Still, like with Eisenberg, it leaves the door open for Joker Sr. to appear if they go down that route.

the first hour for me felt very boring. not the second one (I already said I loved Doomsday showing up even though it made no sense because the action was good)

but the Africa thing is so terrible... Lois plot was something that needs to be cut out. she added nothing to the overall story. (The Lex bullets added nothing to anything)
